Can't say enough about the great folks that run Honaker at JVY - been there several times over the past few years in our Cherokee 180 and service has always been fantastic!

Children's Flight of Hope is a charitable, non-profit service transporting children and their families to medical care. This week we picked up and dropped off one of our families at Honaker. Manager Kevin Happel graciously did his best on our fuel price and the linemen were helpful and thoughtful without being obtrusive. Our family was made to feel welcome, which is our most important criterion.

I flew into KJVY twice the past week, and the folks at Honaker were incredibly helpful. They loaned us the courtesy car both times and asked nothing in return. I filled up the car's tank at least, but Honaker didn't push anything in terms of fees, fuel sales, or anything. I did purchase a top off the second time, despite the high-ish fuel price, since they were such a help to us. The staff there is great!

Landed two days prior to KY Derby! Very busy time of year for this area! Was met with a "follow me" golf cart that parked us immediately. Excellent service for our Lance with all the King Airs and BizJets coming in and out. Got the red carpet treatment. Gave us a ride to auto auction a couple miles away and came back promptly to pick us up. We only took 30 gallons of Avgas and was treated excellent. They had fresh grilled hamburgers and hot dogs with many desserts also free for such a busy weekend. I will return again and will use Honaker for sure.

Since Honaker took over the FBO the maps and even the telephone (!!!) have disappeared from the flight planning room. Fuel service was prompt. Free soda in the break room.

An Ok fuel stop as line folks are attentive and on the ball, but avoid any maintenance of any kind as A&P management were not communicative and organization did not seem to prevail.
