Emerson is what I call "a pearl of an FBO"! I arrived with kids for a day at visiting Summer camps. I called Emerson a couple of days ahead to rent a car (I took about 5 minutes on the phone) and when I arrived the lineman was outside waiting for us with the car: they knew we were arriving and took it upon themselves to monitor the frequency to be ready upon our landing. We were off in no time and when we returned at the end of the day the plane was refueled and ready to go. All car paperwork was handled by Emerson in a smooth and seamless process. I will definitely be back!

Spending the day in Laconia during bike week was a great experience because of the good people at Emerson Aviation. Cameron and Alex were great, giving us rides to the demos we wanted to try and rides to and from Weirs beach - despite all the craziness and traffic associated with bike week. If your plans include a visit to this area, you can't go wrong with Emerson Aviation. Highly recommended.

These folks gave me a crew car without as much as an ID (I gave them my cell) and said just have it back by quitting time. It was better than your average, a solid Subaru. AC was out but I won't quibble with free. I did do the self-service 100LL for cheap. They have fixed the potholes. There was a plastic Avgas sign on a pedestal, the kind that can be lit at night but I can't say it is because I was there in daylight. Yes, it's down a closed runway, some part of the sides of it are for parking, so best done in daylight the first time. Great attractions nearby: mountains, lake. Just be wary of the hilly terrain and you'll be fine. Recommended.

We stopped at Laconia for lunch and fuel, and were delighted with the friendly service and helpful drop off and pick up at the Kitchen Cravings restaurant. Thank you Kathy and staff for a pleasant visit! It did feel like an act of faith that there was indeed self serve at the end of a very long 'secluded' taxiway, which was the runway in days by gone. That also explains the extraordinary width of the taxiway!

Flew in for the afternoon today. Was offered a ride to and from Weirs Beach, where we had lunch and ice cream and enjoyed the views from the beach of the lake and mountains. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. No landing fee. This might be my new favorite local destination.

On July 23rd we landed at Laconia airport with a mechanical. John Anderson of Emerson Aviation was most helpful in arranging us rooms and offering us a crew car overnight. He was most accommodating and there for us after hours. Thanks again to the staff at Emerson and their outstanding service.

My wife and I flew up to Laconia on what had to be the busiest day of the year (Saturday of NASCAR weekend). Linda Emerson treated us great, as did the rest of her crew – found us a tie down, rides back and forth, always very accommodating. Self serve fuel has easy access at a great price. The FBO is relaxing and comfortable - can't say enough good things!

Stopped here as part of a multi-leg XC. No charges for landing there even though I didn't buy fuel. Employees seemed friendly and helpful. A word to those who have not previously visited there, that the FBO itself is not clearly labeled (The building is labeled "Laconia Municipal Airport" and upon shutting down I was not able to see the Emerson label on the FBO door until I was within 20-30 ft of it). I was able to figure it out (my fault for not studying airport layout in enough detail), but I nearly ended up going to Sky Bright just because it was better laid out. That being said, I have friends in the area and will definitely come back again. Special thanks to Colin for giving me the goofy looking ATIS tool as a souvenir.
