Mercury is a top notch FBO. All staff had a great and very accommodating attitude. They waived the ramp charge because I ate upstairs with three friends at the fancy Italian restaurant, DaVinci Stefano's. But, beware, the restaurant was just terrible. The food and service were both very below par, especially for the price. Don't plan on either a quick turn or a good meal here.

It's true: this is now a Signature facility. However, when I visited this week the staff were friendly and efficient. They handled our bags and had our rental car ready. Ramp and parking fees are waived with a minimal fuel purchase. Location is very convenient to I-405.

Don't be fooled by the Mercury name - this FBO is actually Signature Flight Support. They bought the FBO last year and have not changed the name - there is already one Signature on the field. Typical Signature acquisition: Prices went up; quality of service went down with the new staff. Go to Toyota Airflite instead.

Flew into Mercury on 02/09/2007 I had called ahead and arranged for two midsize and one full size SUV for crew and passengers. Upon our arrival the most important one of all the SUV was not full size. The line crew was very helpful with the bags and very courteous. No one had any idea on which airlines flew out of the airport. They did get the crew room reservations correct but did not know how to fuel a Hawker 800 using single point. Fueled when we arrived they insisted on payment then not when we departed two days later. We will not be back to this FBO at LGB. Went to Signature two days later and was very pleased with the professional service. Signature is higher but you get what you pay for at LGB.

After looking them up on here and on their own website, I called before going to just make SURE they were a Chevron affiliated FBO and that they could coordinate an O2 fill for my plane and I was assured that they could handle my O2 request and that I would be able to charge everything to my Chevron card. I arrived a day after making arrangements to find they didn't know of my arrival, wouldn't be able to coordinate O2 fill in the time I was planning on being on the ground and are not a Chevron affiliated FBO. Needless to say, I was a little upset and frustrated. I highly doubt I will go out of my way to go to Mercury when I fly into LGB.

Great experience at Mercury! Guaranteed 30-minute quick turn. Fair fuel prices. Awesome restaurant upstairs. Great pilot lounge. The line guys are always on the ball. Just a great experience! Best on the field
