It's a mixed bag. The pluses are cheap fuel (card key), nice airport, good IFR approach, and a clean bathroom. Great for a fuel stop. But if you want to eat a meal or RON, you are pretty much out of luck. There is nothing close, no crew car, no taxis, and the hotels don't pick up.

Flew into LHM on Saturday for a short visit to the Lincoln area. Called ahead for a rental car, which Avis dropped off prior to our arrival. Pilot lounge is very nice as mentioned by others. Covered area with table and chairs next to the pilot lounge with ice available to cool down the drinks. Great GA airport.

Pilot lounge is great; I don't know what others are talking about. It is very well stocked with everything you need (PC, drinks, phone, maps, local stuff of interest, comfy chairs) and very nice and cool on hot Sacramento days. There is a code to enter, but it's clearly marked (I think the code is the Unicom frequency or something simple to figure out.) I can park there for a half-day visit to Sac and there is no cost. The place feels new/remodeled. Haven't fueled there before, so can't speak to that and have never needed help/service from staff, so can't address that either.

Arrived from Oregon on Memorial Day weekend. No tie downs for transient twins. You have to park with the jets with no chocks or chains. The jet blast is free however. No one in sight all weekend. No code access for auto gate however they now have codes for the man gate and pilot lounge. I moved my aircraft to Auburn, as there is no customer service here. This used to be a great GA field when Karl was around, now it is just another city run operation with zip service. Better options at same or lower cost at AUM & MYV.

Response from Dave Daly, Lincoln Regional Airport/Karl Harder Field
Thank you customers for the feedback. Airfield security requires the access code posted on the inside of the walk-thru gates. The pilot's lounge is 24/7 with an LHM AWOS freq. door code. The Pilot's Lounge contains a restroom; a coffee maker; a T.V.; periodicals & papers; and a sleep room; an AVIS hotline; a free public phone; and web access 0600-1830 local M - F. Fuel trucks operate 0600-1830, M – F. 100LL and Jet A self serve pumps are 24/7. Fuel pricing is regionally competitive. Fuel truck service is provided expeditiously 98% of the time M - F; however, with a small staff, and other airport facility demands, fuel is only available via self-service isle. 2% of the time. No truck fuel on the weekends; however, after hour truck service is available with prior arrangement. Thank you for the comment on the appearance of the Airport. The airfield has two new sets of PAPI - Rwy 15/33; a new Twy "D"; and 85% of all pavements are resurfaced and restriped.

Self-serve pump seems reliable. Airport assistant with gas truck is useless and can rarely be found. Pilot lounge is usually locked and if not has no services, computer, or support. For an airport with equivalent gas prices and better service try Auburn.

From Tony Enriquez on 02-May-2007
The transient pilot is advised to pull up to self-serve fuel pumps, and expect no other services from the city. Fueling from the truck is on a 'as convenient to the lineman' basis. Access to the flight planning computer and pilot lounge is available if you remember the door codes. Do not expect assistance.

Cross Country stop on way to OR. Service was non-existent. Pilot lounge has no flight service telephone. Lots of gates and locked doors all requiring codes. City building set up for administration not pilots or transients. Made me feel as if I was under foot after buying over 100 gallons. Mostly used by locals who want cheap gas.

Self serve is working well, sometimes no receipt. Window cleaning supplies available. Tarmac all resealed, new stripes, looks great!
