From Grant Kimbell on 20-Oct-2010

Flew the Skywagon in for a fuel and lunch stop. The crew at Middle Fork was friendly, gave us a food recommendation and loaned us a red Bronco to drive into town for lunch. Fuel price was good. Food was mediocre at the Village Restaurant. I will be including Challis as a fuel stop in the future, and maybe a meal...

From Paul Brown on 17-Aug-2010

We arrived at Challis on Friday and camped on the field until Sunday. Every business was locked up tight for all three days except for the Life-Flight folks on the south end. We called the phone number at Middle Fork Aviation in an attempt to buy some aviation oil, request use of their bathroom, and possibly hitch a ride to the nearest gas station for ice. We left a message including our phone number and where we were camped. However, they never returned our calls. We did see them come in and out during the day in their 206s so I know they were there at some point. I was quite disappointed in their lack of response over a two-day period. If you're going to Challis, remember the airport doesn't have any public restrooms accessible unless one of the FBOs happens to be open.
