I continue to pass through my old home base and appreciate the warm hospitality and good services. Do note that self-service pump requires a few seconds to build pressure before it will dispense fuel at the maximum rate. If you do as did the other day and squeeze the handle too soon fuel trickles out. Wait 5-10 seconds and you're good to go. Thanks Air West. See you again soon!

Happened upon Vance Brand a few weeks ago. Was curious about Air West. Felt right at home and now know what all the books I have read mean when they discuss 'hangar flying'. Gas was right in front, tie down space was huge, everyone knew everyone and made me feel right at home!

Snuck in around a CB cell at sunset, only to have to run for shelter from two microburst 20 minutes later...Yikes. No contact with anyone at this FBO until checkout two days later..Nice enough, but no free night with fuel purchase. Good ramp and SS fuel pump. But $3. I can live with, after spending $10. Per landing at a Montreal airport.

My Mooney had been based at Longmont for almost two years. I wish to thank all of the employees of Air West for providing friendly and exceptional service during my time at the airport. Whether it was oxygen servicing, flight preparation on the WX computer or a place to sit around and listen to mild-mannered but obviously enthusiastic pilots it has been a real treat. This is an FBO worth supporting and one that will support you back.

Stopped for fuel in mid-December. Nice airport, although very busy on this weekend day, including a jump operation with quite a few parachutes in the air. Folks in the FBO were friendly, and the coffee was fresh. I was peeved on getting my fuel bill as no Self Serve option was offered to me upon inquiring on Mo-Gas and my bill was at $3.45 gallon making it the most expensive fuel I've seen anywhere. I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, as things were very busy but annoying all the same.

Great airport and the folks at Airwest are always helpful. The fuel and ox prices are fair and the self serve works great even after hours. Found significant water in the gas once but Larry got right on top of it and cleaned his tanks out and haven't had a problem since. Stop in!

Very nice friendly personel, gave us access to their weather computer which was a big help as the conditions were rapidly deterioriating.
