LNN is a great little place with great staff. Eric is the go-to guy around there and everyone is very friendly and will help you out in any way. If you're looking for an inch to unfold your chart and do some preflight planning, you might want to use the wing of your aircraft instead, however they do have a weather computer despite what I have read from previous pilots. Take a look at the price of gas here - over to your budget. I would recommend this place based on the staff and their willingness to accommodate anyone.

Memorial Day weekend trip we planned to arrive late after closing so I called ahead to find out where I should park. They said don't worry someone would monitor flight tracker and be there when I landed. Due to a problem at KMIE, it was very very late when we arrived, and to my surprise there was someone there waiting for us. They didn’t have to come out at 0130 am but they did. What dedication, larger FBO's like KMIE take a lesson, its genuine service with a genuine attitude that counts not "well its 5 minutes after closing so we are closed" mentality Thank you very much for the friendly attitude and general help overall.

We were given great service by Larry from Lost Nation Aviation. We stopped here on the way home from Oshkosh due to poor weather along the rest of our route. Larry got us a room in town with the airport rate, and gave us a courtesy car to get there in. We were charged a very reasonable overnight ramp fee, but Larry brought the RV-8 in the hangar for us, instead of a tie down. The plane was topped off when we got back in the morning, and we were on the way home. Thanks Larry!
