Stopped in for fuel on our way to KDPA from KCHS. I couldn't have picked a nicer place to stop for fuel and breakfast. Larry, the airport GM met us at the door with a friendly smile and a firm hand shake. Offered the use of the crew car to run into town for breakfast while we were being topped off. If you stop in during the breakfast or lunch hour, you must go to Reva's Diner. The food and the service was great. Fantastic FBO and fuel stop.

What a neat airport! Nice terminal, reasonable fuel, spacious ramp and a great restaurant right next to the FBO. You can communicate with Indy Center from on the ramp when departing IFR. BTW--Just a reminder that MVA for Indy Center is 3600 feet coming in from the west and 4800 feet from the East. So you might have to do an instrument approach to get down to where you can see the runway even if the airport is reporting IFR.

Nice airport. Big terminal. Highly recommend the restaurant. Great food. Perfect $100.00 hamburger.

From Chris Stelly on 04-Jul-2009
Busy little airport that was a little tough to find at first but worth the stop! Nice restaurant and excellent $100 burgers (amongst other things on the menu!). Will stop again!

My family and I stopped in for lunch on 6/7/09. Great food and service. Watched some Blackhawk’s (my prior military job). Thank you Tonya.

Great stop in Kentucky - long runway, big ramp and easy self-serve with very competitive fuel prices. The terminal is newish, spacious and clean. I was in a hurry heading west and didn't get to sample the restaurant or other amenities but will do so next time.

Came through in late September, and was very impressed -- first with the facilities on offer, and second (and primarily) for the outstanding airport restaurant. This is one terrific place to stop on a long XC, as well as a great $100 hamburger if you're close enough.

The weather stopped us going from Ames, IA to Salisbury, NC this past weekend. We landed at KLOZ, knowing little about it. It was a most pleasant experience. They had a hangar for our plane, gave us the courtesy car to go into town to overnight at Carlson. My highest recommendation!

Stopped on a Sunday while enroute to Georgia for a meeting. Enjoyed the Hangar restaurant and reasonable fuel prices. Put this airport on your places to stop!

From Ted Chang on 23-Aug-2008
Stopped by today. They were having luncheon for city officials at the terminal building. Everyone was friendly. Airport manager went his way out to help us. The new restaurant had good food and service! Got the courtesy van and directions to tour the area. Before departure we got to chat with one of the airport board members. Such a welcoming group of people. Have to come back to visit again.

We used to fly in here when my daughter was attending Cumberland until the new Williamsburg airport was completed. The service has always been exceptional. I was surprised to see the restaurant building. It wasn't there the last time we were here. Our intended destination was Sonny's BBQ with the aid of the courtesy van, but we will be back to try out the restaurant. They have just recently reopened. The menu looks good and the wait staff is dressed like airline stewards. The new name is The Hangar Restaurant.

From John H. Collette on 11-Aug-2008
The airport's "hangar restaurant” has reopened under new management. Great food at a great airport.

From B Ruttenberg on 25-Apr-2008
Flew into LOZ 4-24-08 to visit KY. State Park nearby. Opal and all staff helpful and friendly. Courtesy van available and free ice! FBO very clean. Always a good experience.

From Dave Melkey on 19-Jul-2007
The restaurant is great. Been there twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch. Great both times. And the FBO folks have always been friendly and helpful.

From Brian W. Moore on 11-Apr-2007
Self-service pumps work well. Be patient it takes a couple of minutes before the receipt prints. Did not interact with the FBO folks or try the restaurant, but both were open and readily available. There were several cars in the restaurant parking lot even though the time of our visit was after the lunch hour. Hope that bodes well for them and they remain in business.

From Steve Wellman on 10-Apr-2007
We stopped at LOZ on the way back from Charleston to Michigan for fuel. The restaurant was great and the fuel prices were reasonable. We ended up being delayed overnight because of weather to the north and the FBO let us use their van for the night. Very nice people and we intend to make LOZ a routine stop when we go south.

From Digby Solomon on 25-Mar-2007
To make a friendly fuel stop even better, they have now opened a restaurant on the field, right next door to the FBO terminal. So you now have good food available in addition to helpful FBO staff, good flight planning and lounge facilities and clean restrooms. The Philly steak sandwiches are quite good.
