Enroute to another nearby airport to pick up a plane we had just purchased and had to divert due to weather. After some amount of calls to local transportation companies that all seemed to be busy, George just grabbed a car and took me to the other airport. That kind of extra mile service is what makes smaller FBOs better. Thank you MRK and George!

I have used MRK Aviation several times in the past. There customer service is no fluke. Anything I have requested was taken care of immediately and with genuine warmth. Every MRK employee I have had dealings with has been competent and friendly. They even secured my customers an off-site rental car at the last minute within an hour. That is a small miracle. I would choose MRK at KLPR over Hopkins any day.

A good experience while we were in town for a family wedding. Rental car was ready with the AC running when we taxied up, and the plane was hustled into the hangar while thunderstorms pounded through. Everything was ready to go as requested for our early morning departure. $35/night hangar fee for a single piston is typical in my experience, and worth it. Avgas is a little high for small airports like this one, but so much cheaper than at Hopkins. Will certainly stop again next time I'm in the Cleveland area.

Flew in to Lorain County Airport in a Learjet 35. Very friendly staff at MRK. However, I was charged a landing fee and an outrageous parking fee ($200 for 3 nights). We were the only jet on their ramp, but I guess space must be a problem... Only a $100 facility fee was waived with fuel purchase. Also, we paid alomost $0.20/gallon for prist. Highest ever paid in my career. I will say that we knew about the fees before we arrived. Because of this, we tankered as much fuel as we could. Normally I would have bought more fuel, especially from a small county airport, but the fees prevented me from being able to do that.

Flew in for an overnight stay in typical cold, windy December weather. Plane was kept warm in the hangar until we were loaded and ready to depart. When I got home, there was a voicemail from Karen at Johnston Aviation to let me know that they had found a small GPS receiver in the rental car - the one I'd been searching all through our luggage to find! It showed up in the mail two days later. Great service and nice people. LPR is a nice, much less expensive alternative to Cleveland Hopkins.

Fly in occasionally. Call ahead for a rental car. They always have one ready right when I arrive. Service has consistently been very good.
