The other folks have said it all. I can only add my support by saying this IS my normal stop between OH and FL. I've already used them about six times heading north and south. Used the RNAV apch on the last round. They are a good thing.

What a great airport! Ted and Trad do a truly outstanding job, and it's one of the friendliest airports I've ever visited. Doesn't hurt that the fuel is so reasonably priced. Crew car is almost always available. Southern hospitality at its finest!

This was my second visit to Pickens Co. SS works great and terminal is beautiful. I was offered either of two courtesy cars. Great fuel stop before crossing the mountains.

Have used this airport for reasonably priced fuel fairly often. Stopped in yesterday... The self serve was broken (lightening strike), but Trad advised us of that as we taxied in and fueled us from the truck, same $$ as self-serve. Clean, modern, friendly airport, would stop there any chance I got. Kudos!!

We stopped through about 3pm on a Saturday afternoon based on the fuel price recommendation of AirNav.Com. We chose to use the self-serve facility. The pump is in the back corner, which makes the turnaround a little tight, compared to locations where the pump is simply along the long edge of a ramp allowing straight in/out access. Not a huge issue, just worth noting. The FBO facility is clean and modern. The two young men we met who were working behind the counter were friendly and helpful.

Nice airport with a good runway and easy-to-use self-service pump. Runway 23 is downhill a little.

I flew in to Pickens Co. Airport on Friday, Oct.22, 2010. Trad was very helpful in setting me up in a courtesy car to get me to my meeting. He also gave me directions to a great restaurant in Liberty, Yank's. Beautiful terminal with very comfortable recliners in the pilot's lounge. Overall, a great experience. I will be back.

Originally flew into LQK in July, 2008 and continued to stop for fuel. About a year ago, we bought a cabin in the area and stay there part of the year. All in part because of the improvements in the airport and the kindness of the people we have me there! Very nice FBO.

Trad Julian was great. Beautiful FBO, courtesy car used, good restaurant downtown. If you pass this way to get gas this is the place. Good prices, but a great overall experience. Will stop if in the area.

My son and I were flying from Mississippi to Richmond, VA and stopped at LQK. What a nice experience. Beautiful FBO. Trad Julian was great help. We were given a courtesy car and a map to go eat lunch at a good local cafe. I will always stop there on my way somewhere if I need fuel or just to eat.

Pickens Co continues to be a first class operation for Western SC/NC. No parking fees, no landing fees, instrument approaches, and a great facility. Ted and Trad are always accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Of the 8 airports I could use to get to the mountains, I always use Pickens.

Great facility and super gas prices. Having visited many times in the previous year, I highly recommend a call ahead to confirm the functionality of the self serve pumps. I've had about a 50% success with its use due to CC communication problems with the machine there.

This is a great hospitable facility with reasonable fuel prices. I stopped in today in my Bonanza enroute from the Washington, DC area to my home base in Jackson, Mississippi. I topped off at the self-serve pump then taxied up to the spacious terminal and was offered use of the courtesy car to go into nearby Liberty to Yank's for lunch. I highly recommend this airport.

I had the pleasure of flying into Pickens County Airport today... What a beautiful facility.. We borrowed the courtesy car and intended on having it back within the agreed upon time... We had some direction issues and were quite late. I asked if I could pay for the extra time but was told that it was quite alright....By the way the price of JetA was a great price. This is a great airport...Thanks...

I flew into Pickens County after a good day of flying. The self-serve pump was having communications problems and was out of service. Trad brought out the fuel truck and filled my RV-9A at the self-service price! And that new terminal is beautiful! The fuel price was the lowest in the area and was along our route back toward Atlanta. This will be one of my regular stops when in South Carolina.

Stopped in after hours to take advantage of the low 100LL fuel. When I landed I found the self-serve was out of order. Since I needed fuel to get to my next destination I decided pay the $50.00 call out fee. Within 20 minutes the airport director and a line service person showed up to take care of me. Since the self serve was out and there was no way to know that they did not charge me the $50.00 call out and charged me the self serve price. Then the director, Skeets Cooper, showed off his new terminal building. Its is great to know that there is still a great attitude out there and its just not about the almighty dollars but interested in long term relationships and developing future business. I have put LQK on my map along with all my company planes and will stop whenever in the area. Great Job. Michael H Grossmann, Castle Aviation

Great new terminal building with great facilities and nice people. Here's the "but"; two weeks ago I was charged $98 a day for a Nissan Maxima from Enterprise. This past Saturday, Hertz charged me $105 for a small SUV for 1 day. Both car companies are off site and are now charging delivery fees to the airport. I may have to start flying to an airport with reasonable car rental charges.

Flew to Pickens just because I'd never been there before...I'm glad I did! They have a newly constructed stone and timber FBO with all the amenities, and exceptionally helpful staff at the counter. Trad, thanks for the courtesy car...Yanks was a great suggestion for a burger!
