Have been calling both the Decatur FBO and the city of Decatur about their "NO GUNS ALLOWED" signage on the FBO door. This is fairly recent, as I don't believe the signage was there a couple of years ago. The signage is legal per Texas 30.06. Shame. Good runway, easy spot from altitude, short hop to Fort Worth, instrument approach. Go to Bridgeport instead--far better fuel prices and your firearms are welcome inside or out so long as you are legal. I'll choose to fly and spend my money where freedom is cherished, not restricted.

You guys are great!! Thank you for all your help. My girlfriend and I were flying the diesel 172 and we really enjoyed stopping by there. Every one is very friendly and willing to help you in anything. See you in a couple of months.

The crew car wouldn't start so the airport manager loaned us his. I really felt everyone there appreciated our business and had a great attitude. It's a small FBO, but it has nice facilities.

Spoke with Doug and Mike - very nice people. As of Feb 2008, they have two Cessna 150's and one Cessna 172 with a G1000 system. Prices are very reasonable. Take advantage of these airplanes and the training - it is worth it.

I just stopped in to see what Decatur had to offer. I was warmly greeted by the airport manager, Fabio, and David. We talked airplanes and associated business for 30-45 minutes. When they found out I sell airplanes, they requested that I leave behind some brochures and cards. Very friendly group, willing to help anyone with anything. If you are in the area, it is well worth the time to stop in and say hi!

I've been based here for three years, and what a positive change now that DJC is here! Fabio goes out of his way to accommodate those of us based here as well as transients. Fuel cost is great compared to the DFW metroplex, and clean facilities open 24/7.

Wow great FBO! Even better fuel price. Fabio at Decatur Jet Center really went out of his way to provide great service. He even gave my friend a free hat and coffee mug while he was waiting for me to arrive. If you’re into old bi-planes ask Fabio to tell you about his beautiful Stearman, man she's a beauty. Thanks again, I know where I'll be stopping for fuel next time I'm back in that area of the country.
