Stopped in for food and fuel. Patty in the office gave us directions to a nice cafe next to city hall. Crew car was nice. Went to put fuel in the plane and found the nozzle on the ground with no cover on it and open to the elements. This is one thing I hate pumping dirt into your tank. For twenty bucks you think the airport could put a rubber nozzle cover on to keep the dirt out. Otherwise it's a nice place to stop.

By far my best unplanned airport stop ever! Had to land do to weather on a ferry flight and got stuck in Malden for 2 days waiting for it to lift. I was treated like family from the moment I arrived. Of course they lent me the courtesy car and told me about town, the fuel was cheapest around, and they even offered an empty hangar for the night to escape the storm; By the time I left, I was considering moving there. I even went to dinner with Mark and his family. Friendliest airport I've ever been to. (Good restaurants a mile away too).

When FSS indicated the weather was looking too ugly to continue through to daughter's USAF pilot training grad, I called ahead and Mark arranged a rental car for us to have after hours. Weather was actually OK and we just fueled and continued on. Super service and great after hours fueling stop.

We pumped our gas. A little pump house behind the pumps is where you use your credit card. Very nice FBO, interesting museum, and nice personnel.

Nice place to stop in and spend the night on a trans continental jaunt. Mark and Barbara took great care of us. Got a hangar for free, courtesy car and inexpensive fuel.

Stopped in twice during the summer of 2010. Stopped in once during the night and once during the day on a weekend while passing through. The first time I stopped it was around 1a.M. In the morning. I was able to get self-serve fuel easily, and access to the FBO. On my second stop, the FBO was closed due to it being the weekend, however several locals were around (one even helped me refuel). Easy to get into the FBO, and nice locals to talk to!

Very nice airport (former AFB) run by an excellent team in the office. Fuel prices competitive, nice motel right on airport grounds. Good stop including overnight.

I flew into Malden to bring my son, Ben to his A and P Mechanical Certification test with Jim Krepps. I was warmly greeted by Barbara Crayne, the airport manager, whose picture we later saw on the front page of the local newspaper receiving an award from the Airport Managers Society. She gave us a great lead on a homestyle fried chicken dinner at the Daily Bread restaurant and the keys to the best kept courtesy car I've seen. She later showed me through the fine military museum. Everyone we met was hospitable and informative. A very pleasant stay!

Stopped in Malden on a cross country dead reckoning solo flight after missing Kennett due to a radio malfunction and distraction. The lady in the FBO showed me around and let me view the WWII museum they have there. I had a snack, the lineman helped me get fueled at the self serve and I was off again. Great folks and a wonder historic airport. I would highly recommend stopping there. The fuel is close to Kennett's prices.

Called and spoke to Mark before arrival on July 27. Said they had a courtesy van that my wife and I could use. Upon arrival Mark met us with the vehicle and info on a great ribs restaurant. He gave us exceptional service and the gas was priced very favorably as well.

A+ FBO with competitive fuel prices! I brought my Glasair III in for an unplanned stop one evening after hours (2000L) and needed a hotel room and a rental car. The FBO was locked, but had a cipher lock on the door, which was easy to access. Also on the door was Mark's cell phone number to call for after hour’s service. I called Mark who was on vacation and he called Barbara (FBO attendant) who drove back to the airport, provided me with a courtesy car and directions to the closest hotel. It was A+ service!!! I highly recommend stopping by this very personable FBO if you're in the vicinity...They'll treat you right!
