Dropped in on Virgil on 7/25/2008 going to Oshkosh for mogas service. Stopped again coming home on 8/1. Called ahead and Virgil agreed to wait until 7 PM to make sure we had crew car and a hotel reservation. Recommended a good restaurant, KTs Fireside Supper Club ... Any restaurant that has radishes on the salad bar gets 4 stars from me. The hotel, Mobridge Kountry Inn was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. This is a great town, everybody we met was kind and helpful.

Landed here the first time 30 years ago, and several times since, as this is such a beautiful little town of about 3500. 'Virgil' at the FBO was very helpful and friendly. Very helpful, too, was 'Benji', a local grocer/pilot who owns the Paylessfoods SuperValu supermarket--outstanding deli with sandwiches & fried chicken, and a huge selection of wines and spirits. Very nice store with friendly and helpful staff that appreciated my business. Talk about nice people! This is one of the best stops in the Great Plains.

Stopped here for fuel on the way to Oshkosh. Very friendly people and a nice pilot lounge with clean facilities. I recommend stopping here if you are in South Dakota.

We had a mechanical break down while taxi out to leave. Virgel was very helpful in providing hanger space and contacting a mechanic from Capitol Air in Pierre for us. Thank you
