Went to Castle Airport to go to the air museum. The owner of Gemini suggested that he drive us over to there, which was welcome in the 104˚ heat. The museum was wonderful, though the café was closed. Got a ride back, and we used one of the conference rooms after asking to eat a lunch we had packed. Truly great service.

Friendly and courteous service. We arrived as a flight of four ultralights and were treated very well. They gave us a ride to the air museum and back which was very nice of them. Ground control and Tower were very courteous and helpful as they had the main runway closed and was using the taxiway as the alternate runway. Note that the restaurant at the museum is currently closed.

Gemini Flight Support was awesome. I visited Castle just to build some cross-county time this weekend and got stranded for a couple hours when I couldn't get the airplane to start due to engine flooding and a subsequent drained battery. They worked with me for over an hour on a Sunday afternoon jumping the battery and trying to clear the engine and even said they wouldn't close shop until they saw me off. Friendly staff and great service! Highly recommend!

Flew in last week to see the Museum. Had a disabled passenger with us. The FBO made three van trips to take us to a restaurant, the museum and finally back to the airport. Super accommodating! Friendly good fuel price. Highly recommend this FBO.

This was a fun airport to visit, but definitely not the ideal place to grab a quick bite to eat. The air museum was a fun experience, especially if you're into military aviation history. $10 per person. Definitely bring your camera to capture everything from the F-14 and SR-71 to the B-52 bomber (massive). Gemini is a small FBO with great service. Only 1 guy was working there at the time; basically, the shuttle car driver was also the fuel truck operator and the front desk receptionist/cashier. When we arrived, there was nobody at the front desk, only a sign with a number to call if you needed assistance. So, if you're in a rush, this might not be the best destination especially if there's someone ahead of you for services. But, the service was exceptional! The lineman went out of his way to shuttle us to and from the museum (otherwise it's about a mile walk). All in all, a fun place to visit (but you might want to eat ahead of time just in case).

Went to Castle for the air museum last weekend. First time there since the tower opened. With all the foreign flight student traffic, this was a major improvement. You should still be extra careful. And land long, but with good judgment of course. Hitting the numbers is rewarded with a long time on the runway to the first taxiway. Gemini team was friendly. So friendly, we had to insist that we really wanted to walk to the museum (short walk) on a nice day. When we returned, the plane was fueled as requested. I also appreciated the handy Internet connected PC for my DUATS check, and my passenger enjoyed the comfortable lounge with big-screen football. Not marble and leather fancy like a biz-jet FBO, just friendly people with a well-equipped, clean facility.

Hi-volume training airport but no GA-distance runway turnoffs means incredibly long departure wait times. Once you're on the ground, you are faced with few to no transportation options. No taxi service to Atwater, no rental bikes; sign mentions rental cars and other comments alluded to a courtesy van but neither were offered. No self serv fuel. A few bikes outside would go a long way for this FBO.

A friend and I flew in 2008/08/27; ground suggested we ask for a ride to the Museum rather than walk (98); Gemini was accommodating in providing a ride there and back; the museum is fantastic and huge, allow a couple of hours; the cafe food did not rate as destination worthy (maybe just an off day) as the cafe was full.

My wife and I visited the Castle Air Museum today. It is a true national treasure. The people and facilities at Gemini were first class, complete with a courtesy van to and from the nearby museum. We will be back.

Dropped in for gas yesterday and my nose wheel tire decided to go flat. The Gemini folks rushed to my aid. Stan Thurston even drove me 30 miles into Merced to pick up a new tire. My passengers spent a few hours at the museum and had a great time. Before we knew it, we were on our way again. Absolutely fantastic service!!

Nice place, a few flight-school aircraft in pattern with students who struggle with English, but the controllers handle it well. Walked to museum and got a ride back. Museum is well worth a visit; their Bomber Burger was spot on for a hungry crew!

Stopped in to try a little restaurant we heard about in the town of Atwater called Jantz Cafe & Bakery. Gemini staff was there to offer a crew van and fueled our aircraft at the AirNav price. Very helpful staff. Very easy in & out with the new tower. And the restaurant was outstanding. We will return.
