I really enjoyed the newly opened restaurant, Flyboys, the staff was very friendly and the food was great. Easy in and out of Class D airspace. 9k ft runway. Tie downs are directly in front of restaurant with great views of the intersections. Fuel from Richland Aviation somewhat pricey. Though Quick and personable. Will be back.

Although Richland is hard for a pilot to find at KMFD the line staff and the people there are very friendly and accommodating.

Made an unplanned stop returning from OSH due to thunderstorms along route. There was absolutely no lodging available in town due to motorcycle race. The staff allowed us to overnight on the couches in the FBO. Restaurant on field is closed. Very friendly and accommodating tower and approach control. Would not hesitate to stop again.

Arrived Thanksgiving Day. No one there but that is good! Stayed a bit over a week. No ramp/tie down fee. Everyone pleasant and helpful. When the weather got ugly, I put my Cherokee 180 in their hangar ($45/night).

Arrived after hours, had no way of getting off the field. There is a gate by Richland, but I had no way of getting it open from my side or the side my ride was on. Apparently they'll give you the code to the gate if you call ahead of time. Left the plane by the terminal for the duration of my trip with no problems. Free parking with access to a gate. Richland wanted $10/night for tie down, and $65/night for hangar with no fuel purchase. This was all for a 172. Called ahead an hour for fuel and had to sit around for 20 minutes while the only person who was working came back to the office and took my payment.

Used Richland for a LifeLine Pilot transfer. Linemen were more than helpful and the facilities were clean and cozy. I would have no problems using them again.

I concur with the previous comments of Mr. Dernoga. We arrived with him and the total turn-around time on the way to OSH was almost 2hrs. We stopped on the return trip and this time the fuel and receipt was delivered to us on the ramp in the time it took to order a sandwich to go.

Well, we stopped here on the way to Oshkosh this year. We've stopped here at MFD for the last four years outbound to OSH (see my previosu post). We had a horrible experience this year. We waited 90 minutes for the fuel & payment process. There was one kid working on the Sunday before Oshkosh, and he was overwhelmed. Management should staff the FBO better for the Sunday before Oshkosh. This was one of the worst fuel stops I have ever had in my 12 years of flying. It was a joke.

Nice cozy FBO. Stopped by for a few days after flying up from Florida. Despite the cold weather and rain, there was still a nice gentleman outside to greet me as I parked my plane. Called with a fuel order and it was ready to go when I arrived to depart. I will return again if I am in the area.
