It is always a pleasure to visit Mountain Empire Airport. Charlie makes this seem like home, even though we are not based here. I am here fairly often and I know if I need something special, like late fueling, or special fueling, Charlie is always there to find a way to make it happen, even if it requires him to come back to the airport. I don't think I have ever seen a more pilot centered, better run airport. Thanks Charlie, you are the greatest!

Stopped through to refuel and could not have been a more pleasant experience. Cheap gas and good company. Wish I lived closer to this airport. I plan to be back!

This has to be one of the best operated airports in the area! Friendly, reasonable, incredibly beautiful location are all reasons why if your travels have you in SW Virginia, this should be your stop. The staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful, the fuel prices reflect the desire to bring pilots to the airport. I will be back!

Stopped in today for fuel and lunch. What everyone says is true, fantastic service, great fuel price, a decent inexpensive restaurant right near by and a crew car to get there. A great place to stop.

Flew into Mountain Empire to get away from Hurricane Irene. Charlie was right on top of everything and made us feel at home. I sure wish Mountain Empire were my home airport because it just doesn't get any better than this. I'll certainly be looking for an excuse to return there as quickly as possible. Thanks again for the great job Charlie, we do appreciate it!

Arrived at KMKJ on 7/27 and Charlie (Airport Manager) immediately fueled my C182. When I told him I planned to stay for a few days, he put my plane in a hangar. MKJ is a great airport with the best airport manager I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. You can't beat the fuel prices and you sure can't beat the service! Will surely visit KMKJ again.

Made a quick fuel stop and Brian was very helpful. Fueled us up and had us ready to go in no time. He offered their crew car to drive to a local restaurant but we didn't have time. MKJ is a great place to stop for fuel. I will stop again when traveling in the vicinity.

Made a brief stop and was offered the use of the crew car and given directions to a reasonable restaurant. The customer service at the FBO is excellent. I will stop again when in the area.

Absolutely the best airport I've had the pleasure of visiting! Charlie the Airport Manager made our experience even better! Not only did we receive World Class Service from Charlie but their fuel prices have to be the lowest in the region. We will definitely make it a point to visit there again! Thanks for the great experience!

Outstanding place for gas. Good flight planning room. Stopped in the middle of the day, waited in line, and received prompt service from the truck. Ask for the cash price, it's lower. Wish they had coffee made, or creamers.

Best Little FBO I've seen in a long time. Superb service! We stopped in to Mountain Empire on our way home to Green Bay from Daytona. Had to lay over 4 days until icing cleared and meeting Charlie was the highlight of our trip! Very helpful, considerate and accommodating with use of the crew car. We'll be back. Thanks Charlie!

Charlie, you are among the BEST! I received eager, knowledgeable assistance and service, a courtesy car to drive into Wytheville, fuel after hours while I was in town. It seems so simple, yet so few can get it right as they do at Mountain Empire. Also, thank you to the Smyth Wythe Airport Commission and all of the folks who realize the benefit of general aviation in your front yard!

AWESOME!!! I flew in on December 24, yes Christmas Eve day to a very warm welcome from Charlie. He filled us up with some very inexpensive Avgas. He even offered to meet us that night at 11 PM on our return flight. We landed at 11 PM called Charlie and he was there within 5 minutes. He even brought us Christmas Eve dinner. Wow! THIS WILL ALWAYS be our fuel stop on future northbound flights. Thanks Charlie for the incredible help. Respectfully.

We would like to thank Jeremy and Charles for their excellent service when we stopped to refuel this past weekend. They really have their act together when pilots fly into the airport. It makes cross-country flights a lot more enjoyable when your needs are taken care of by these two professionals.

Absolutely phenomenal service. We flew up from NC on a whim due to the amazing weather, and Charles was there to help us in any way that he could. Enterprise wasn't able to leave a car on site due to the fact that I called them same day on a Saturday, but Charles was happy to lend my wife and I the courtesy car to take into Marion for the night and return the next morning. We'll definitely be back, and will recommend this gem to anyone. Combined with the beautiful mountain valley setting, the service and professionalism of this FBO are hard to match. Great job, and thanks again Charles!

Unsurpassed service. Never before had this level of service at a small municipal airport, much less the larger airport we frequent.
