Airport is well maintained. Nice FBO facility, friendly staff, reasonable fuel prices, crew cars for short-term use.

This was our second time here and great service. Line personnel are very attentive and facilities are very nice as well. The CSR staff did caution about the taxi service (of which they have no control) and if you are coming here, would highly suggest a rental (Hertz is in the building). Courtesy car is on its last leg, but still works enough to get to a great BBQ joint down the street. Fuel is cheap and ATC was great.

I agree with all the previous positive comments. Really nice, well-maintained airport. Nice long runway in excellent condition, helpful ATC tower personnel, friendly FBO personnel. FBO co-located in terminal. Reasonable self serve fuel price. On the minus side: the fuel flow meter did not work, although the correct fuel quantity did print out on the receipt. We will not stop here again for an overnight. Transportation to a hotel is difficult and expensive. Although the FBO has courtesy cars, they do not allow overnight use. Taxi is about $30 each way and "they may or may not come." We got a lower hotel rate on the Internet than the FBO's discount rate. Got a rental car from Hertz, which is co-located and should have reserved that on the Internet, too: the Internet price was $25 less than the FBO discount price. The FBO discount price was about $1 less than the EAA/AOPA discount. We'll be back, but only for fuel.

Diverted to KMKL due to weather, and sure glad I did as I experienced the great facilities, which were only exceeded by the staff's professionalism. The two ramp guys were great and very efficient, you would have thought my Saratoga was a Gulfstream by the level of service we received. When I had starting problems on departure, they grabbed the ground power, they called an A&P and did everything to get me going as quick as possible. The ATC staff was also fabulous, they cancelled my IFR flight plans for me during the delay, then proactively offered to and reopened on climb out. Fair prices, nice touches, great waiting areas with big screen TV's, I will definitely route through here when back when in the area.

Flew in from Nashville for a $100 sushi lunch. Outstanding service at the FBO! Friendly ATC, marshalled in, quick service, loaned the courtesy car. If you love sushi, Sakura is the place to go! Will definitely stop in again.

Excellent service! I am willing to pay full service prices when the service is actually rendered. Tracy and Brandon took care of my airplane while I was working with a client's airplane.

Stopped here on an Atlanta to Springfield, MO trip for fuel. Cheapest gas (self serve) I've seen in quite awhile. Nice facility and friendly folks. Stopped here again on the way back a couple days later. Will definitely stop in again.

Great fuel stop. Beautiful facility, fast air traffic service, and cheap self-service fuel make this a great 24-hour facility. This is a first-rate facility with full and self-service choices.

I am a corporate pilot who visits MKL on a fairly regular basis throughout the year. Since Steve Smith became airport manager and began running the FBO, we have seen many great improvements. Fuel is very competitively priced, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the crew lounge has been updated with HDTV and new furniture, and a crew car is readily available. MKL is a great place for a fuel stop, or to spend the day on a business trip!

We found Tower, FBO and Tennessee Aircraft Services absolutely OUTSTANDING in all respects for a recent stop at MKL. Their friendly, warm welcome and awesome service made us forget the cold, rain, and maintenance need for my visit. I cannot say enough about Paul New and his professional staff at TAS! They are the most reasonable, accommodating, detailed, knowledgeable aircraft service I have ever experienced -- and that includes my own two year tour on the USAF Thunderbirds! They wrote the book on customer service based on uncompromising perfection. I'm a Customer-for-Life with these folks!

Makes my top 10 of the over 500 airfields I've landed here in the USA. I landed on the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving Day to be greeted by a friendly lineman that answered most of my questions before I asked. As I am military, I always ask if there is a military discount for active duty. The lineman spoke with the FBO manager, Jonathan and he personally thanked me for my service and gave me a discount. They also talked with us a bit about the area and were terrific goodwill ambassadors for their community. Would highly recommend routing through KMKL for the service and hospitality. Thanks guys!
