Flew in from Nashville for a $100 sushi lunch. Outstanding service at the FBO! Friendly ATC, marshalled in, quick service, loaned the courtesy car. If you love sushi, Sakura is the place to go! Will definitely stop in again.

Beautiful new self service facility. Great airport easy in and out. Would be back again.

Excellent service! I am willing to pay full service prices when the service is actually rendered. Tracy and Brandon took care of my airplane while I was working with a client's airplane.

Stopped here on an Atlanta to Springfield, MO trip for fuel. Cheapest gas (self serve) I've seen in quite awhile. Nice facility and friendly folks. Stopped here again on the way back a couple days later. Will definitely stop in again.

Great fuel stop. Beautiful facility, fast air traffic service, and cheap self-service fuel make this a great 24-hour facility. This is a first-rate facility with full and self-service choices.

I am a corporate pilot who visits MKL on a fairly regular basis throughout the year. Since Steve Smith became airport manager and began running the FBO, we have seen many great improvements. Fuel is very competitively priced, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the crew lounge has been updated with HDTV and new furniture, and a crew car is readily available. MKL is a great place for a fuel stop, or to spend the day on a business trip!

We found Tower, FBO and Tennessee Aircraft Services absolutely OUTSTANDING in all respects for a recent stop at MKL. Their friendly, warm welcome and awesome service made us forget the cold, rain, and maintenance need for my visit. I cannot say enough about Paul New and his professional staff at TAS! They are the most reasonable, accommodating, detailed, knowledgeable aircraft service I have ever experienced -- and that includes my own two year tour on the USAF Thunderbirds! They wrote the book on customer service based on uncompromising perfection. I'm a Customer-for-Life with these folks!

Makes my top 10 of the over 500 airfields I've landed here in the USA. I landed on the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving Day to be greeted by a friendly lineman that answered most of my questions before I asked. As I am military, I always ask if there is a military discount for active duty. The lineman spoke with the FBO manager, Jonathan and he personally thanked me for my service and gave me a discount. They also talked with us a bit about the area and were terrific goodwill ambassadors for their community. Would highly recommend routing through KMKL for the service and hospitality. Thanks guys!

Had a great self-serve experience at MKL this morning. SS Pump (100LL) is in excellent condition, and yes, the SS price is correct. There are no hidden extra charges which some airports charge. I will definitely be back. The tower controller was friendly, too.

Stopped here several times to spend time with family on weekends. Usually have excellent service and lineman even put my plane in the hangar when a thunderstorm came through without having to ask! I will be back many more times.

First the positive: fella on the fuel truck was courteous and efficient - this, coupled with the reasonable fuel price might make this a good place to do a quick turn. Big *big* negative is the "evening" service, or lack thereof once you walk away from the plane. Despite calling ahead and being assured that there were plenty of cars, Hertz had gone home, the FBO had no cars, there was no one inside to help -- AND, once you walk inside we discovered you cannot walk back outside due to a cipher lock on the door! So: no one inside, no car, cannot go outside to talk to the refueler... 40 minutes later we finally get a car to go eat.. So what should have been a reasonable fuel/food stop turned into a 2 hour odyssey. I don't know what the daytime operation is like (we landed at 7:21 pm), but we won't be back until this has been addressed.

The self-serve fuel is easy to use and the price is the lowest in the WHOLE state of TN. Isn't it great to see a city step up and do its part to help GA by keeping the cost of flying down. Way to go Jackson, TN. BTW, and the ATC Tower is great and very friendly.

From Karl Gerling on 22-Sep-2010

The FBO was recently reopened by the city. The new staff was fast and very helpful and the fuel prices were very good. Hertz is in the terminal and has arranged for FBO customers to be able to rent short term cars at rates of $15 for 1 hour, $35 for 2-3 hour, or normal daily rates for longer than 3 hours.
