Typical government run operation! No one around on weekends for fuel or information. The whole place was locked up like a jail. I will avoid this place for sure.

Stopped in at MNI for my usual fuel fill up while enroute from PA to Fl. There is a sign on the fuel pump that says temporarily out of service. Nobody around to explain. Had to go 50 miles south for fuel. Hopefully this is really temporary and not a chronic problem. If this is your normal fuel stop, please have an alternate plan and don't get caught with insufficient fuel.

Let's start with what's good: 1) little to no traffic 2) no wait in line for the fuel pump 3) runway is in good condition, as is the rest of the airport 4) cheapest gas in the area Now, on to the problem. They have set the credit card reader to reject normal amounts of fuel purchases (I.E. - 30 gallons) After trying three different credit cards thinking it was the reader, it finally approved a purchase of 15 gallons. Had to do this twice to fill each side. Guys, your pump is for aircraft, not cars. At least bump it up to 40 gallons. Back to the good stuff: the two locals that we ran into were extremely nice and wanted to help in any way they could. We'll be back, but wish we had known about this so I hadn't wasted 20 minutes trying to get it to work.

This is a decent quiet airport. We landed Saturday at 11:00am and didn't see anyone around, nor did we when we left at 6:00pm. The runway was in good shape, and the SS fuel was reasonably priced and worked well, and plenty of transient tie-downs with ropes. FYI, the sign on the building said $3 for overnight parking. If you want coffee, Jet-A, and a fancy FBO lounge, I'd suggest elsewhere, but if you're looking for a basic GA to get in and out of easily, this will do the trick.

Well, If you want ice, bring it.... If you want a car, rent it.... If you want jet fuel, bring it..... If you want coffee, bring it.... Owner walked by twice and didn't speak, and the CSR warmed up after a few hours..... Other than than....it was great.
