This is a quiet country airport. Currently fuel is not available (however the airport manager can make arrangements, in an emergency, to get fuel brought in – contact her for details). AWOS transmitter is OTS, but the phone connection works. The approach is very scenic from either direction, but radio coverage, from Clarksburg Approach (they controlled the approach not Cleveland Center) is spotty down low. Susan, the airport manager, was wonderful. She drove us into town, so we could take the tour of the haunted WV prison. We had lunch at Bob's and can say they provide you with huge helping of great home-cooked food and a reasonable cost. Their pies are amazing.

Stopped by for fuel on a trip from NH to TN on Monday, 6 September (Labor Day). Friendly folks and good gas prices. Great airport.

Stopped in for fuel on our way east. The instrument approach into runway 06 is interesting as you get an up-close view down some smokestacks. The airport manager was very friendly, and the fuel was very reasonably priced. A great, sleepy little airport. I'll stop by to support the place whenever I'm in the area.
