Update to previous commend about Speedbird Aviation. The manager called me concerned with my experience. Customer concerns/service today seems exceedingly rare. I indicated we didn't have a bad experience but previous comments had provided heightened expectations. Bottom line I would return and use Speedbird Aviation again without hesitation.

Update to Enterprise experience. The Morganton Enterprise manager reconciled my complaint to my satisfaction. Thus I would rent from them again.

Didn't get the red carpet or car pulled up to the aircraft. Oh well, I guess my homebuilt didn't rate. Had a bad experience with Enterprise. Requested non smoking/deodorized car. Car stunk of smoke. Only one full size (Honda Accord) available.

I stopped in here because it was along my route of flight and the price of fuel was reasonable. But when I landed a very friendly lineman who put out a red mat by my aircraft door and began immediately to service my airplane greeted me. It was a Friday that I stopped in and they were cooking chicken on the grill in the hangar. I was invited to stay for lunch, which I did. This put me almost an hour behind my planned schedule but it was well worth the friendly company. I will definitely stop in here again.

I have brought my Mooney and Bonanza into this FBO and have been very happy with their service each time. One of the nicest and comfortable FBO's around. You can’t go wrong by stopping there

Excellent service!!! Stopped in on December 15, 2006 and was met at ramp with my rental truck (which they nicely arranged even though I only left my voice mail request hours before as I was taking-off from South Florida) which they pulled up to my plane. They helped load the vehicle with all my baggage, provided directions up the mountains and then got me on my way quickly and efficiently. Nice, clean FBO...Good fuel prices and they fill the plane exactly as requested. I am coming back here very soon.

Stopped into MRN with the company's Hawker. Rental car was waiting planeside, fuel truck was standing by, staff was attentive and friendly, and fuel price was fair. Good job.

Great airport for a fuel stop. Very friendly & customer-oriented. Plenty of ramp space. Fuel price was very competitive and just as advertised with no surprise charges. Nice FBO facilities. This will be my new intermediate stop when heading south.

Staff from lineman to manager were great. I stopped for fuel and ended up weathered in for 3 days. They took great care of my plane. FBO office was modern, clean, bright and very comfortable. They arranged my rental car for me - no hassles. I will not hesitate to use them again.

The folks at Speedbird are some of the best I have ever encountered. Truly red carpet! Flew in for a mountain flying class put on by the FAA on a Friday evening prior to a morning class. We were made to feel completely at home including an invite to a fine BBQ meal that evening which the FBO director sets out for his staff on a regular basis. I'm already planning a trip back with some friends.

I fly into this airport for business dealings I have in Boone, NC. Without a doubt this is one of the best FBO's in the business. From the line crew to the people behind the counter, they make flying here a pleasure. We call ahead for a rental car. When we arrive they pull the car on the ramp next to our aircraft. It is worth going out of your way to use this FBO.

Stopped by for fuel en route to New York. Great service, nice crew car, accurate directions to some great local eat. On departure real easy to work with center picking up clearance. If you are in the area this is a great FBO to utilize. Thanks.

These guys are SUPER! Talk about service, from the red carpet when you land to unloading the aircraft or offering good advice on relaxing in the North Carolina High Country. Fuel prices are VERY reasonable (based on the area) I needed some maintenance, and Lynn and his guys jumped right on it, again reasonable and fixed right the first time. Fridays they even have a BBQ on the field for guests. This is my Airport home in the High Country!

If you really want the "red carpet" treatment complete with a real red carpet, then stop here. People are friendly and helpful. Gas prices are some of the best in region, even when pumped from the truck. Our rental car was pulled next to our plane and linemen helped with our baggage. Hangar space available for overnights, which is especially nice for winter frost or summer thunderstorms. Airport is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains with great access by car to the Blowing Rock and Boone, NC mountain resorts.

KMRN is one of the nicest FBO's I have flown into. Very helpful and freindly staff will give you the red carpet treatment. Fuel price's are the lowest I have seen in a long time. The lounge and flight planning area are first class. Hope to be back soon. Thank's guy's.

What a great place to land for a mountain visit! This FBO operates with all the amenities of a big city FBO without all the expense that usually comes with it! I put them through the paces by having them move my airplane a few times as well as needing to use their start cart for a low battery situation. They handled everything with professionalism and a smiling face! Thanks!

Flew to KMRN (now Foothills Regional Airport) and received super service. Newly surfaced runway in a wide valley made my landing a breeze. The staff at Speedbird Aviation was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. Fuel price is very competitive. Was told free hot dog lunches are served each Friday between 11AM and 2PM. Several new hangars and extended taxiways are in the works. Sea plane training is available in a two day fixed price course. The examiner is on site. The nearby river provides good a site for training. An excellent FBO facility with all the amenities and an enthusiastic staff. I'll be back.
