Made me feel like a human putt putting around in my Light Sport Aircraft, despite it being the smallest thing on the field by a long shot. Reasonable fuel prices, $10/day ramp fee, and they were nice enough to shuttle my wife and I to the hotel (one-way) for free.

Nice folks, good service. Fuel is cheaper than on the South side of the field from the jet FBO's. While overnight fee was waived one night at MBA for fuel purchase I was charged a ramp fee of $10 (or vice versa) for my Twin Comanche. Suspect it would have been cheaper for me to use the self serve fuel, then taxi over to Del Monte Aviation and pay the $15 overnight fee. Plus I find it more convenient to get in/out from that side of the field to downtown....

Excellent experience! Arrived with my kids to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Lineman met us and parked the plane while the office staff arranged a taxi - they were very accommodating. I was impressed and would highly recommend them.

Great Experience! We came in for just a few hours to enjoy an early dinner near the field. Got a ride to a nearby restaurant and was given a number to call for pick up. Turns out that the FBO was closed immediately after we arrived, but since we had previous arranged our visit they had someone from the line pick us up and drop us back at the airplane. FBO refused payment so all it cost was a tip to the line. Previous visits have been good as well, but this was above and beyond.

Flew into MBA with our Cherokee and received excellent service. Called them on the Unicom about 10 miles out to confirm their location on the field (my chart showed their old location and new location!). On the ground someone came out to help us park and called us a taxi. I didn't need fuel and I was back in the air the same day. The coffee was hot and ready. No charge at all. Overall, good experience. I'll be back.

I called in advance and when I landed, a car was waiting for me and brought right to my plane (very reasonable rate from Enterprise). I returned the same night, after hours and called the number listed on the door. The owner showed up (in 10 minutes) accepted the rental back and let me in the airport. Their fuel prices are much cheaper than the other FBO's Great experience overall!

We pulled up to MBA at 6:30 Friday evening unloaded the plane and found out the gate was locked. We called the number on the outside of the FBO and John, the owner, stated he be right down to open the gate and get us a cab. When he arrived, he put our luggage in his Jeep and drove us to the Monterey Plaza Hotel. MBA provides incredible service. You would have thought I was flying a Gulfstream instead of a Mooney.

We were flying in with our Labrador and asked MBA to get us a dog-friendly rental car. As soon as we pulled onto their ramp, a Jeep Wrangler appeared. They took great care of us and owner John gave me some local pilot insight prior to an IFR departure. Great outfit!

We flew our Bonanza to MRY and decided to park at Monterey Bay Aviation. For those that haven't been to MRY in some time, this is the FBO that was previously on the southwest side of Rwy 10R/28L. This FBO may be in another location but it still has great service for the piston powered among us all. We were immediately marshalled into our parking spot, they took our fuel order and our Enterprise rental car ($25/day) was driven up to our airplane. Awesome service. We returned at approximately 7pm that evening. We called the owner's cell phone and he let us in the gate, helped with our rental car return, and gave us our fuel receipts from earlier in the day. Most impressive service. We will definitely choose this FBO next time we return to MRY.

I wanted to express my gratitude to everyone at Monterey Bay Aviation for all of your help and friendship I experienced over the summer. I had to head out of town the day after the checkride and won't have a chance to see you guys for a while but nonetheless wanted to say thanks. I really appreciated everyone's help from the guys on the line to all the instructors who put up with me and gave me a lot of great information along the way. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism everyone showed and would recommend MBA to anyone. You guys should all be very proud of the job you are doing. Stopped here several times now. Friendly people. Great Enterprise rental car rates. AirBoss discount. The only downside is having to leave a bread crumb trail on the road because it is tucked away behind the fairgrounds, and if you're not careful you might be driving around a bit. (They did print us out a map with directions... )

MBA personel were clearly focused on ensuring customer satisfaction-- beginning with taxi guidance to the tie-down, ramp personel taking fuel order and performing service, friendly customer service at the desk making call to cab company, and the CEO stopping by to talk prior departure.

I had the opportunity to visit Monterey Bay Aviation this last weekend. This was my third visit to Monterey Bay in the last year or so. I have consistently found this FBO to offer excellent service and decent (or as "decent" as they can be) fuel prices. The service this last Sunday morning was even better than usual. The line tech was outstanding and the lady at the desk went above and beyond to secure us a rental car. I was impressed and my passengers were impressed. I can, without reservation, recommend this FBO.

I selected Monterey Bay Aviation because it appeared from the comments that this FBO was mostly oriented to piston aircraft as opposed to jets at the other two FBO's. Upon arrival, I noticed oil smeared on the outside of the cowling and dripping on the nose gear. Larry, the mechanic, stopped what he was doing and took a look. He said he would get on it the first thing the next day. (We were leaving in two days, just before the weekend.) The bad news was that the overhauled oil cooler with 11 hours on it had a leak at a weld. The good news is he would order a new one in and have it installed in time for us to leave as scheduled. All was accomplished as promised at very reasonable hourly rates. The service was excellent and the people extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this FBO. In addition their fuel is considerably cheaper than the other FBO's.

Tied-down at MBA on a picture perfect day this past weekend. Found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Used their rental car service as we were going down to Carmel for lunch, and thought the price ($25) was fair. Also found the airport diagram most helpful due to the taxiway layout.

Two major things have changed since my last visit. 1. They charge a $10 ramp fee. 2. There is no longer a crew car available, or even rides available to downtown. A taxi down to the wharf costs $25 round trip, and slightly more to Cannery Row or the aquarium. So if you are only flying in for the day, I would recommend going to Millionaire Monterey. They charge a small ramp fee but it is cheaper than taking a cab (they offer crew cars and rides). The service was still great and the staff was friendly. I just won't buy more expensive gas and pay a ramp fee unless the courtesy car returns.

In an effort to correct the comment submitted by Ross DeFranco, our only focus is the General Aviation pilot that fly’s a non-turbine airplane. We understand the costs associated with flying and do all that we can to keep them as low as possible. Our fuel price is the lowest on the airport and we do not charge a tie down if you stay less than three hours. If you purchase fuel we waive the tie down fee. We do not offer a crew car in an effort to keep our fuel cost down. We do, however, offer an hourly rate for an Enterprise Rent-a-Car, which is $25 for two hours, all taxes included in this price. Whenever possible we will try and accommodate special requests and do provide rides to pilots in need.

We spent a wonderful week in the very capable hands of Monterey Bay Aviation flying the central California coast. They treated both our Turbo Lance and us with the utmost respect and professionalism, provided us with local information, and even stayed late so that we could fly the Bay Tour at night. This is by far the best FBO we have ever encountered (and we travel a great deal). They have a commitment to piston G.A. That doesn't always exist elsewhere. We would highly recommend them (and a trip to the Monterey area in general). Thanks to Michael, John, and all the line guys for a fantastic experience. Your service is second to none.

Unbelievable Service! From the Lineman with the tow-motor to park our plane to the Very Nice Young Lady at the front desk who handled everything from fuel to a cab. Even the General Manager pulled our plane out from the tie-down for us on departure. Fantastic!

Monterey Aviation just acquired one of the other FBO's on the field, APR. The tie down area in front of APR, which was the only one on the south side of the runways, is now closed for transient use. Don't know if the self-serve 100LL pump is also closed there, but suspect that it is. Service at Monterey Aviation is friendly and fast.

I arranged overnight parking and rental car with Tea, their customer service mgr. everything was exactly as requested, including a very good rate from Enterprise. I additionally called their GM, Michael to inquire about getting an oil change for my Cherokee. He arranged with a mechanic who was part of the former APR Aviation Maintenance Co, which Monterey Bay Aviation just bought, to perform the last minute request for the oil change. Everything was done in very satisfactory manner, especially considering it was last minute, before a Memorial Day weekend. So, this FBO and shop gets my sincere thanks across the board.

Recently visited Monterey Bay Aviation in my Grumman AA-1C. From the moment I taxied in and shut down, to the time I fired up to depart for home, this FBO's staff did all one could expect to make my stay easy, pleasurable, and memorable. The FBO's friendly and efficient staff ensured I had everything I needed, when I needed it. They even gave a companion a lift to the airline terminal in the staff member's own POV, when all we asked for is a cab. It is one of the cleanest, nicest and most modern FBO's that a small aircraft owner can experience. Having the least expensive AVGAS available on the field, also helped as well. My many thanks to Michael, Tea (a true sweetheart) and the General for all their assistance and courtesies. THE FBO to stop at when at KMRY!

We flew in on New Years Day 2007. Had a line guy marshal me in and chalk my airplane. We just mentioned that we wanted to get something to eat at the wharf, and they immediately offered us a crew car. Plane was gassed up when I got back. Great service. This is where I will always fly into when I go to Monterey.

We were forced by weather to make an unplanned stop at MRY, and then stranded there for two days by mechanical problems. The folks at Monterey Bay Aviation could not have been nicer or more helpful. They referred us to a good mechanic, and intervened with him to move us to the top of his schedule to get us on our way again ASAP. They assisted us with local knowledge for route planning under less-than-ideal weather forecasts, and were gracious to allow us to keep the crew car beyond normal limits. This is my second stop at Monterey Bay Aviation, and they keep getting better and better each time. I will definitely stop there next time.

Flew into this FBO at around 10am and told tower that I wanted to taxi to MBA. By the time I was pulling into their ramp they had a line guy running out to an open parking spot and guided me in and chocked my plane after I had shutdown. Absolutely more than friendly and helpful and fuel was very respectable for a full service operation. The inside was very nice and I picked up a bag of chips and a drink for the flight home for a dollar. Overall a great experience and they went out of their way to make my stop a success
