The people here are very friendly. Facilities are pretty average for a rural airport - clean, and not bad. Fuel prices are out of sight though! I was there last week (early September 2011) and 100LL was almost $7/gallon with tax! It ranges from $4.97 to $5.35 at 5 airports within 100 miles, so $7 fuel isn't germane to the region. CIA Corp must be marking it up big time. Stop and top off before you get here.

A very GA friendly FBO. Flew in with a 172 and was greeted with a smile and a handshake. Plenty of parking. Fuel price was lowest around. A great place for a fuel stop.

Awesome place to stop. Fuel price is reasonable, service nice - but the restaurant's a WOW! Best fried chicken anywhere, and be sure to have some pie. Everything home made.

I chose this FBO to perform quick turns on our corporate jet during a recent series of trips to the Midwest. The service was excellent, the fuel price was very competitive, and the FBO workers were polite and professional. I will be using Central Illinois Air again.

Stopped in on the way back from Oshkosh. No self-serve. Had to wait for the attendant to finish moving planes before he would fuel us. Fuel was a dollar a gallon more than advertised on AirNav and $1.45 more than we paid at Oshkosh for full serve. When I complained, the attendant told me "That's what you have to pay when you come here". After spilling fuel over the top of my wing, down the fuselage and on the ground, I took over fueling the second tank while the attendant smeared the fuel around on the other side. I had to ask him to clean the fuel twice before he would do it properly. On top of that, when I went to pay the bill, I was charged for an extra half a gallon of fuel in addition to that which went on the ground. My advice. Stay out of this airport unless it's an emergency.

Flew in on a Sunday. Fuel was $1.00 more per gallon than as shown on AirNav. Had to find someone to get fuel (no SS). Nice facilities and restaurant.
