While I was weathered in during a coast-to-coast ferry flight, Jason and his staff saw to my every need (and whim) with the kind of professionalism and friendly hospitality that aviation (and our country) needs more of. From the pastoral setting of the airport to the well groomed and equipped FBO and Runway Cafe, Blue Ridge has it all. Best of all, Jason (the airport manager) is also a corporate pilot who treats his customers (corporate and GA alike), as he would like to be treated. Blue Ridge will be a return destination for me the next time I'm in the area!

Jason and the crew at MTV are true professionals in the real sense. During a recent extended stay due to weather, Jason and the staff were able to provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service. All of our requests were met with a positive can do attitude. I have had the opportunity to visit many FBOs throughout the country as a crewmember and on personal trips. I have never had such professional services. The spirit and attitude of the staff is very evident. Great job to Jason and the staff. Keep up the great service.

Jason and the crew are the BEST! Week of May 25th 09 has been rainy IFR WX I'd go WAY out of the way to experience the southern hospitality and friendliness at KMTV! Thanks again!

I flew into MTV on an IFR flight plan, expecting to arrive after their published 6PM closing time. I didn't realize I was going to be cutting it close and started calling Unicom to find out if they were open. After receiving no answer, I was worried they had closed up and gone home. Instead, they were watching me on flightaware and waited patiently for my arrival, just in case I needed fuel. I was very impressed and they really saved me a frustrating after hours fuel search. They have great fuel prices, great customer service and a very busy restaurant. I love this place!

Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed. Friendly service, good prices, great people and good food.

From William Ownby on 12-Feb-2009
We got great service at KMTV in early February 2009. Even though they were busy, they were able to promptly refuel us and get us on our way. Wish we had had time to try out the restaurant, which seemed to have a strong local clientele, meaning it's probably pretty good. We'll go back when we've got more time.

Stopped by on the way back from Atlanta to the NYC metro area. Fuel is competitive and there is a restaurant on site. We stopped by on Saturday lunchtime and our food took a little longer than expected (it was busy). Service for the aircraft (and pax) couldn't have been more friendly and efficient. Oh, there is wifi if you need to check weather on a laptop or the like!

From Lee McAllister on 16-Dec-2008
In comparing fuel prices on AirNav, I discovered that Blue Ridge has the least expensive fuel in my area so I dropped in on my way back home from the beach to refuel. I pulled up to their pump; Jason promptly came out of the FBO and refueled my plane. Not only is the fuel priced right but also Jason is one of the friendliest most accommodating folks that I have met at a small airport in a long time. They also have a great restaurant adjacent to the FBO.

As a new pilot and plane owner exploring new destinations for cross country travel, my discovery of Blue Ridge Airport near a primary family destination was great. Personable, friendly, and incredibly helpful personnel, excellent maintenance and hangar facilities and services, a great restaurant, and regionally LOWEST AV GAS PRICES, combined with a managerial driven dedication to flexibility and service, make this a choice stop or destination, whether one needs Jet A for corporate or Avgas for your personal aircraft.

From Greg Renick on 20-Oct-2008
Great place to visit - and great people to work with. I flew my son in for the NASCAR race at Martinsville and it was fantastic. Jason was very helpful and had my rental car waiting so things went smoothly.

From Jerry Marstall on 26-May-2008
My wife and I were looking for somewhere to fly with a restaurant on the field. The dart hit Blue Ridge, VA (MTV). What a pleasant surprise. The airfield is in a beautiful setting, the airport and facilities are immaculate and the airport Manager, Jason Davis, went out of his way to make sure are every need was addressed. In addition, the fuel was cheaper that we are use to paying. The restaurant is in the same building as the FBO and has seating facing and right on the ramp (outdoor seating as well). The only problem was that they are closed on Monday (the day we happen to be there). We will definitely be going back and dragging some flying friends with us. There just aren't enough places like MTV to fly to and have lunch too.

Stopped into KMTV in my 172/G 4/10/08 based on favorable comments of excellent service, reasonable fuel prices, and friendly staff. All true! Airport manager Jason Davis and Business Manager Jennifer Garber are as genuinely nice, friendly and helpful souls as you'll find anywhere. Cafe staff was also friendly and helpful. This airport setting is beautiful! Doesn't get better than this. I'll try to get back.

On ferry flight back from CA back home to VA. Great, clean facilities, friendly staff. Nice little restaurant on the field - lots of locals eat there. Fuel prices reasonable and the service always quick and professional.

From John Demyan on 03-Jan-2008
Jan 2008 I have stopped at MTV on many occasions and received exceptional service. The fuel price was the lowest anywhere on my route, so naturally I make it a point to top off there whenever I can.

Arrived late night from Kissimmee Florida, staff worked on Christmas Eve until 2 in the afternoon and fueled my plane before leaving. Excellent service, beautiful airport.

From Robert Pattee on 19-Dec-2007
Stopped for fuel. The prop had just stopped when we were greeted by manager and fueled in no time. No hot food on Mondays but otherwise a gem of an airport with excellent service.

From Linda Mathias on 08-Oct-2007
We arrived on a slow Monday for fuel and lunch to find out that the restaurant is closed on Mondays; however, Airport Manager Jason Davis made up for it with courteous and friendly customer service. He did everything possible to make us feel welcome and was very accommodating. He is a great representative of the Martinsville community.

I wish to add my comments about the service & facilities at Blue Ridge Airport. I was flying my WACO UPF-7 from Jacksonville, NC back to Wisconsin and chose to land at Blue Ridge for fuel. The old WACO has a habit of getting dirty spark plugs approx. Every 20-25 hrs. So prior to continuing across the Mts I elected to get my plugs cleaned at Blue Ridge. I wish to say the folks at Blue Ridge were most helpful & friendly. The community is very fortunate to have such an outstanding facility staffed with good people. Thanks again, I will certainly stop again if I am in the vicinity.

I'm based at the GA-unfriendly KROA; I try to always get my fuel at KMTV: great prices, friendly service, friendly conversation, and lots of good crosswind landing practice. If you are passing near, stop for the above good stuff

From Michael McCurdy on 22-Jun-2007
Fantastic place- my plane was fueled immediately, the fuel price was good, and my wife and I enjoyed a nice lunch at the on-field restaurant, watching the other planes land and depart. Customer service is obviously very important here, from our waitress (I wish I had gotten her name) to Jason Davis, the airport manager. This airport is worth going back to just for the people and the food, which was surprisingly good.

From Bill Barley on 02-Jun-2007
Visited MTV one Monday afternoon - hungry, but the cafe was closed and there was no way to get off the airport. Jason Davis, the airport mgr. Got access to the cafe's refrigerator and filled me and my co-pilot with tasty chicken salad sandwiches. Thanks and good service.

From Joyce Parker on 05-May-2007
I visited Blue Ridge Airport in the last two months; one to do a pre-inspection on an airplane; the next visit to fly my new airplane home. Each time, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Jason Davis is one of the finest airport managers I've ever come across!!! He personally assisted with any need and it is clear that his customers are his highest priority. The atmosphere is pilot friendly and inviting, airport is maintained immaculately, and the Runway Cafe is a great place to eat or just hang out. Even the Dutch Inn Quality Hotel in Martinsville, which Jason recommended, caters to pilots, also. I'm looking forward to my next visit to Blue Ridge in a few months on the way to NY. Thanks, Jason!!!

Awesome Place to stop for any reason...Jason is one of the nicest people. He was very helpful when I showed up and forgot my wallet. He filled my thirsty warrior and let me call him back with my credit card when I got home. He even tried to feed me and let pay him back later. Doesn't get any better service than that. The airport is in excellent shape. The on the field restaurant is awesome. Fuel prices are great. Make it a stop anytime you are in the area. Thanks again Jason for you help. AAA+++

From Gary Smith on 09-Feb-2007
This is one great place to stop. Came in on one of the coldest days of the year and they placed me in a hangar for the day and plugged in my engine heaters. Great prices and outstanding service. Some of the big FBO's should learn from these guys.

From Fred Meyers on 19-Dec-2006
I made a fuel stop at Blue Ridge on December 18, 2006. FBO staff was friendly and helpful. Fuel price was good... And I did not have to pump the gas... The FBO provided full service!! Great place. There is a restaurant on site and I will return with my wife for a weekend lunch soon.

From Jeff Stubbs on 04-Dec-2006
If you are looking for a great place to have lunch on Sunday then fly here. The place is very clean and they have an all you can eat buffet of good home southern cooking. Very reasonable and friendly service.
