I was treated very well even though I flew in aboard a C-172. I was marshaled across the ramp and my passengers and luggage were carried from the plane to the terminal very promptly. Car rental form was ready for me to sign when I walked to the desk. On departure, the same level of service was extended with top notch professionalism. Nice facilities and very attractive price on fuel. Even got a free night of tie-down even though I used self-serve fuel. An overall great experience!

Spent a couple days here. First day in no one responded on Unicom so I just picked a spot. Just as I was shutting down they drove up in golf cart, tied me down and drove us to the FBO. Next day took friends out sightseeing. On landing a Follow Me van led me to a spot and again they tied us down and drove us in. More sightseeing on day 3 and the same treatment. Topped off each day. They charged us one day's tie-down fee of $12. Very professional operation.

Friday's arrival experience was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Even right down to the CSRs providing cold water for the passengers and crew. I was impressed. Monday's departure was a different story. The ladies inside weren't the most helpful, but not terrible either. One of the linemen initially refused to help lift bags due to him having a "bad back". Seriously? We were actually billed for a lone, wrinkled USA today. It was quite laughable. This is clearly a government run operation that could do without our business. I think we'll visit our friends at Ramp 66 @ CRE next time and buy our Jet A from them in the future.

Two hour layover, treated very well, would have liked to stay longer, neat warbird park just down the road, looks like a good spot to run, try hamburger Joes for lunch.

I have been to Myrtle Beach Aviation numerous times without any problems. Most recently the weekend of July 24. They waived the first night tie down with fuel purchase. When leaving, the gentlemen at the counter offered my son and I complementary bottled water to keep us hydrated, due to the record heat. New FBO building is first class. Not the cheapest, but competitive with other vacation spots we visit.

Stopped by without a reservation, and was nervous based on the reviews, but they parked us quickly and had a rental car available. Parked overnight and all services requested performed. Nice building had Internet computers, private phone spaces, and other nice touches. Tower was great and asked the overflying tour helicopters to avoid flying over us on the taxiways. Didn't see any reason not to recommend KMYR.

Inconsistent service. We were told our rental car was not allowed onto the ramp, while two other pilots had their rental cars on the ramp. Lineman did help us with our baggage and took it to the rental car. People were friendly enough, although they did not seem overjoyed to see us. $12 parking per day for single, no fuel purchase waiver. Airport very convenient to the south side of Myrtle Beach.

This is NOT the airport of choice, especially if you haven't called ahead. We landed late after a delay with severe weather. While the ride to the FBO in the police cruiser after the police report was filed was pleasant and helpful, that's a first - and a last. (Landing after 11 without prior permission (or notification) is a suspicious event in MYR apparently.) The ramp fee is unreasonable given the price for gas. No plan to return to this facility, with or without permission.

Very nice folks & facility. But, charging top price for fuel plus tie down fees will make me choose elsewhere for future trips to this area.

This was my first experience at Myrtle Beach Aviation and I will return. Landed on April 3rd and I was not met by anyone, I was just taxiing around waiting for someone to show me where to park. Finally a lineman escorted me to a tie-down location. He helped unload and carry my bags. Brand new facility and VERY nice. Lady at the counter was nice and helpful with finding my rental car. I purchased 38 gallons of fuel but was still charged the 12.00 ramp fee. When preparing to leave the lineman took us back to the plane on the golfcart and helped load our bags. Very nice place and will def return. If you rent a car be sure to tell them (Hertz or Enterprise) you will be picking the car up at Myrtle Beach Aviation or the General Aviation ramp, otherwise you will have to get over to the main terminal to pickup your car.

Stopped over here for a 100LL traveling from FL to NJ. Line guy was great, and they gave us a nice crew car to take into town. Fuel was more expensive than my other SC fuel stop, KFLO. However, overall it was a good experience, and I'm looking to come back to play some golf!

Had a wonderful experience at MYR this week. I was a little apprehensive based on the last few posts but it was more convenient for my stay. Also the fees at Grand Strand are now the same. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at a brand new terminal. I fly a "baby beach" and was treated like the big boys. The new terminal is beautiful, plenty of rest area for pilots and three computers for flight planning. If downtown is more convenient for you I would not hesitate to recommend this FBO.

Was met by very polite line person who guided us to parking place and helped with luggage and tie down. Counter staff was helpful getting transportation. We were charged $12 tiedown for one night although we bought 13 gal of fuel at $5.31/gal. Entrance on groundside of terminal is under construction making it difficult for ground transportation. Nice terminal.

Nice new building, average fuel prices, facility fees waived with fuel purchase and friendly service from both line and desk employees. I certainly don't have any complaints about this place and would recommend them to anyone.

To say our experience was less than pleasant is an understatement. We were traveling with our small dog and it became readily apparent this FBO is neither PET friendly or PEOPLE friendly. There was nothing on their web site or displayed anywhere to indicate that pets are not welcomed. Rules are rules and we understand that, however, such information should be communicated to the public. The Myrtle Beach area represents SC's largest industry--tourism and it would seem the staff of this publicly owned and financed facility would do more to encourage people to visit the area by being more friendly and understanding. Fortunately, the weather was not inclement as it could have been since we were required to remain outside the building. This dog has been welcomed at FBOs across the south. Most even provide snacks or water for pets. The counter staff does not express southern hospitality or friendliness as is common in this area. SC has its beautiful places--but, where are the friendly faces? Response from Michael Marlowe, Myrtle Beach Aviation Myrtle Beach Aviation has a policy that customers can walk their pets through the building to gain access outside of our secured area; pets are not to remain inside of the building for safety and health reasons. This does not apply to Service Animals or those in animal travel cases.

I haven't visited MYR in several years but had business there. The new FBO is clean and spacious. The folks are all friendly and I will be back again. I was only there for several hours but I was not charged a parking fee or any airport fees.

I thought the line service guys were absolutely awesome! The approach and tower guys helped me get in without electric power & very, very professional. The maintenance guys did the best they could over a holiday w/e. $1000 for an alternator & voltage reg. The airport fees are ridiculous!! Be prepared, 10.5% tax, too!!!

This is the worst FBO I have been to in 30 years of flying. I thought the line service guys where great but the 2 ladies working the counter where the most sultry FBO employees I have had the pleasure meeting. They screwed up on just about every request we had. We bought 490 gallons of Jet A and where treated like crap. This is a typical county ran FBO.

We were a group of friends from KPDK on our long cross-country flight to KMYR. The flight was good; the FBO personnel were very friendly and helpful. Got a courtesy car and went shopping to one of the Tanger's outlet. When we decided to head back, one of the aircraft's alternator quit on us during the run-up. We had to abort our flight and go back to the FBO. And let me tell you, it was the Super Bowl Sunday night, around 2200hours! We didn't expect anybody to be there. But the lady at the counter was really very sweet and helpful. She overstayed well past her shift time and helped us with our lodging at Hampton Inn and made sure that our transportation was taken care of. If it weren't for her, we would be stuck there for the whole night! She even managed to get us a discount at Hampton!! :D I'd say CHEERS! For Myrtle Beach Aviation!
