I purchased the "Love in the Air" tour for a Christmas present for my boyfriend. At first we were nervous because we didn't know what to expect, but this experience was way beyond our expectations. We scheduled our flight at 5:30 on December 30, 2011 and I must say this time was perfect! We got to see the sunset over New Orleans. Matt, our pilot, was awesome! He did a very good job with our tour. My boyfriend and I still talk about it. Definitely worth every penny, if not more!!! I recommend it to everyone whom I know will be in the area.

We redeemed a Love in the Air voucher at sunset on Jan 3rd and thoroughly enjoyed it. Rita, our pilot was skilled, knowledgeable about the metro area, and fun to fly with. Taking in our City from 1500' at a leisurely pace was really special- far more intimate and enjoyable than a few stolen glances as you climb out of MSY on a commercial flight. Passing over the wetlands near Lake Borgne, the CBD, the CCC, and the Port afforded views to savor and treasure. The only hitches were that folks from FANO weren't in the office when we arrived and we were a bit worried/confused... Guess they were busy flying! 15m after our appointed time we were let in and got straight to the champagne and flying. YAY! 31 minutes later, though, we were back on the ground... The tour was supposed to be 45m of flight time, but the shorter flight was ok and I guess we saved some Avgas... Overall the folks were friendly and capable and it was an unforgettable experience.

On 9/16/11 Matt took myself and my boyfriend for the most amazing sunset flight I could have imagined. We were greeted and made to feel welcome while we sipped champagne and nibbled chocolate. The anticipation was immeasurable. We timed our Love In The Air flight to take off 15 minutes before actual sunset so we had some time to take in sights before dusk. It was a breathtaking red NOLA sunset over the bayou! My guy LOVED hearing the chatter over the headsets and Matt was very knowledgeable, professional and entertaining. Thank you Flight Academy and Groupon for this opportunity I would have never thought of had it not presented itself!

This was a gift that I gave to my boyfriend for his birthday. He ABSOLUTELY LOVED the experience. We were also served champagne and chocolate, which was the cherry on top. We took off and enjoyed a BEAUTIFUL tour of New Orleans while watching the sunset. MATT was an EXCELLENT tour guide and was well versed on the history of the city, and he's only been a resident for 8 months!!!!! Thank you so much MATT for the UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE!!!! Oh and Happy Anniversary to you and your wife!!!!!

I had an awesome time! We went up a little before a Saints game and were able to see the dome lit up and all of the city lights. It was beautiful. I would like to go during the day the next time I go. Thank you very much.

Rita was our pilot, she was delightful. She circled over the French Quarter four times so we could finally find our house. It was a beautiful sunset flight and also our 26th anniversary. A lovely way to end the day.

I took my boyfriend on the "Love in the Air" tour for our one year anniversary, and we had a blast. Our pilot, Matt, was very knowledgeable and experienced. He took us past all of the main attractions of the city, and knew a lot of inside information that I didn't even know after all of my time living here. The best part was that he adjusted the flight plan so we could look for my house. It was a very special experience.

This was a Christmas gift for all. I had a family of 8 people in my group. Thought it would take multiple trips and a lot of waiting time between trips. Krystal informed me of a tour using all 3 planes at our disposal. We had 4 in the Piper Seneca & 2 pairs on the Piper Archers. All in the air at the same time, it was an awesome experience for all to see. Rita was our GREAT tour guide! My daughter of 9 isn't SCARED any longer! Recommend this to anyone!

This flight was a going-away gift from Southern Orthopedic Specialists' staff. Frankly, I would have never thought of it, but I'm glad they did. Mechanically the flight was wonderful, but more wonderful was our pilot Rita. Besides knowing how to get up and down, she thoroughly knew the New Orleans area town. What amazed me was how much water surrounds us. Historically, In Bienville's day, our name used to be Isle of Orleans, now I know why. This was a unique and fun gift.

We bought the "Love in the Air" package through Groupon and went last Wednesday. What an amazing experience! We had no problem with scheduling and Krystal was very quick to respond to any questions. Our pilot Matt was very knowledgeable on the best sites to show us and made the experience wonderful! I would sincerely recommend this to anyone, it is truly a once and a lifetime opportunity. Hope to do it again in the future!

Fantastic flight over New Orleans. Our pilot Matt (?) was incredibly professional and a great aerial tour guide. I would definitely recommend these folks for another enjoyable flight with these folks. Top notch group of people from the cockpit to the flight line to the front office. This is a must see and do sightseeing trip. We'll do it again.

The flight was great. Matt was our pilot.... Very good. Real smooth landing and take-off. Very nice accommodations. I proposed to my girlfriend and took pictures afterwards. Great memories and pictures!! Everyone should see their City from above. Different perspective. Only thing is it was advertised as helicopter but it was a small plane...... We've run several deals via social media sites such as Groupon, LivingSocial, etc, but even our deals with them specify "all flights in a fixed-wing aircraft" in the fine print. Rita was our pilot and we LOVED her! My friend was very fearful of taking this tour flight but she 'manned up' and we did it! The take off, flight and landing couldn't have been smoother. She gave us a great tour of the area, full of funny comments and good info. My friend couldn't stop raving about what a great time she had and I had a blast too!

I had a pioneer flight lesson on 8/3. Matt was my instructor. It was awesome. Learned a little about the mechanics of the plane and then we took off. After we were up and away it was my time to pilot. I just loved it. Matt is great. He is friendly & laid back but I felt very safe the entire lesson. I would love to learn more.

My wife and I had a great time touring the City! I added the extra wine and cheese package for the flight, which was definitely worth it. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming and the flight was fantastic. Very romantic experience!

I bought an aerial tour for my brother's birthday. I ended up going with him. I was freakishly terrified, but he just adored every second of it. He was very impressed with every aspect of it. Hook was a very patient and professional pilot. The day could not have been prettier for this flight. (I'm scared of everything. The flight was amazing, but I was just so anxious.) Thank you for the experience. My brother could not have been happier with it all!

My daughter gave me a flight over New Orleans for a gift since my hobby is Photography. I had a 30 min flight that was really great. Got wonderful pictures! Pilot was wonderful! Would recommend this to everyone.

I learned to fly in a Cessna 152 but have not flown one in many years. My wife purchased a pilot's refresher flight from the Flight Academy as a gift and I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. This flight was a very memorable experience.

I had a really great flying experience with Mr. Bruce. This was the introductory lesson, which I am glad to say I upgraded to add an extra 30 minutes and upgraded to the 172 so as to fit my long legs in there. It was very informational, and a lot of fun. Bruce pretty much let me map out my own route including flying over my house in Lakeview. The facility is very clean and all emails and phone calls were handled promptly.

I gave my husband a "Love in the Air" flight for Valentine's Day. We had a lovely experience - our pilot, Bruce, was professional and helpful, and the weather was gorgeous. The Flight Academy gave us a lovely bottle of champagne and some very fine chocolate, which we enjoyed later. Also, we toured the city close to sunset on a very clear evening, so the view of the city was spectacular. Overall, everything was simply perfect!

Using Groupons for a flying lesson and aerial tour of NOLA was a good deal made better by our instructor, Ms Scott's great skills with our 10 year old 'pilot.' No doubt, he'll be in the sky again next chance he gets. Great people skills!

I gave our aerial tour to my husband for Christmas, we scheduled it on our 34th anniversary weekend. I couldn't have given my husband (amateur photographer) a better gift. My son is 12 years old and took an orientation to flight instruction through the New Orleans Flight Academy. For a very reasonable price, I was able to accompany him from start to finish. The pilot - Bruce - was very patient and was great in communicating with my son. The staff was helpful, friendly, and professional. Setting aside that this was a super cool thing for a boy of his age to do, it was an overall great learning experience that just may be a prelude for him to set a personal goal! He has not stopped talking about it!

I'm a private pilot who visited New Orleans, and wanted to rent a plane to see the sights from the air. Bruce went with me to let me fly, and provided friendly, helpful and interesting history and help. I can't think of a friendlier environment to see the sights. My wife and I had an amazing experience at the Flight Academy of New Orleans. The friendly, professional instruction was spot on, the amount of time taken to answer my many questions was very helpful, as this was my first dabbling into the world of pilots and flying. I completed my lesson and left with a whole new appreciation for flying and will be looking into my next steps towards getting my Private Pilots License. Although my flight lesson was a gift while on vacation in NOLA, I can only hope to find an organization near the caliber of the Flight Academy of New Orleans, at an airport near me in S.E. Wisconsin. Keep up the Great work, your success shows and I'm sure you will continue to grow!

I'm a professional photographer and had not done any aerial work in 6 years. The Flight Academy folks gave me a good aerial tour of the city, the pilot took my directions well and I secured the views I needed. I also think the price was very fair as I was quoted a price nearly double that which I paid by another local air service.

I started at Flight Academy of NOLA while on an extended business trip having most of my work complete for my Private Pilot license. I had about 60 days left in the area and wanted to complete it before returning home. The staff at Flight Academy went the extra mile to accommodate my hectic schedule and prepare me for the check ride. I passed on the first attempt! Thank you Flight Academy.
