Nice folks. I was there for 4 nights Oct 20 till Oct 24 in my ancient C172. Folks were friendly. I got one night's credit for fuel when I used the self serve pump. Fuel was approx. $3.85 per gal. Also got a discount voucher for 50 cents per gal discount on my next trip.

Stopped by OCF last week and was absolutely appalled by their high ramp fees. $45 for a small twin, or buy their overpriced fuel. Fortunately, they don't charge if you visit the restaurant, which I did. As a rule, we shop FBOs carefully when we dispatch our larger corporate aircraft and have totally written this one off. Go into GNV or LEE to meet our people. Guess what they get for a King Air????

Response from Tracine Anderson, General Manager, Landmark Aviation
Mr. Olsen, I am sorry you feel our fees seem high. As with most FBO's, we do need to charge for the few that utilize the facilities without purchasing fuel. Please note that our self-serve fuel is $3.85 compared to GNV @$3.85 and LEE@$3.88. Our facility fee for a twin is 20 gallons or $45 to waive. In comparison, GNV is 35 gallons or $35. I feel these are fare and reasonable for our services. As you mentioned, we do not charge if you are flying in solely to patronize the Tailwinds Cafe, or if you are having maintenance or avionics work performed.

Landmark Aviation is actually a landmark of poor service. Being here makes me feel like I am on crazy pills! This is my 2nd bad experience here and I will not make this mistake again. Desk people were rude as could be. They were much more interested in making their lives easy than being helpful. Avoid this FBO.

From D. French on 26-Jun-2009
We stopped in on June 25th in a Gulfstream IV to pickup 3 passengers at Landmark Aviation and were on the ramp for less than 1 hour. We took on NO fuel and did not need ANY services (ice, coffee, papers etc.) Fuel was over $5.00/gal to avoid the ramp fee of 500.00! We talked to the manager and he lowered the fee to 350.00 but still too high. An airport and FBO to avoid!

From Jim Handley on 20-Apr-2009
Flew down to attend a formation flight clinic being held at OCF. When ready to depart, the fuel truck was being used to top-off a half dozen or so AT-6 Texans so I taxied my Cessna to the SS pumps. Couldn't find a stool or ladder to reach my high-wing gas caps (I have an older Cessna without even the foot pads on the strut) and when I asked one of the line guys where I could find one, he said the manager didn't allow a ladder at the pumps for insurance reasons. I ended up standing on a trashcan to reach my gas tanks - a little more precarious than a ladder would have been. I don't know which is more sad - an FBO afraid to use common sense for legal concerns or the perception that the kind of pilot willing to dirty his hands by fueling his own airplane would also sue over something so ridiculous as falling off a ladder which he personally placed in position.

I stopped yesterday at OCF with a King Air, picked up one passenger and was on the ramp for less than 5 minutes. The facility fee was $175.00! (We spent longer paying for the ramp fee than we did on the ramp). I will avoid this FBO/airport in the future, as they have a "captive" audience and take full advantage of it.

Lady behind the front desk was very nice but place is starting to become rather outdated, their printer and computer was very slow. The building still looks nice but I think its time for a remodel

Stopped at Landmark Ocala for the first time on a recent business trip. Great place to stop. Ramp staff was extremely professional and efficient. Cindy at the desk handled the rest with perfection. I'll be back when in the Ocala area!! Thanks for the GREAT service!! C-182

From Doug Harris on 11-Nov-2008
Great Food and Service. Landmark Aviation Employees are so nice. Line crewman met me at my plane and asked if he could help. Lady behind the counter even watched my dog as we ate lunch. I will be back. Super Time. Newly paved runway is also nice. I thought the fuel prices were well in line and below average for the service you get. I will be back.

From Jon Mcmurtrie on 24-Oct-2008
Pricing at Landmark Ocala is predatory and I would avoid this airport and FBO. They charged $5.99 jet and a $65 tie down. Yesterday I paid $4.00 in Dallas with no other fees.

From Ronn Walker on 01-Oct-2008
Stopped in today to have lunch at the restaurant. Was informed to either buy fuel (at almost a dollar a gallon more than surrounding airports) of pay a $25 "service fee". I paid the fee, ate and informed the girl at the front counter this was my last flight to Ocala and any FBO that is in the "Landmark Aviation" system. This use to be a great place to stop for lunch. Not anymore.

From Eric Peterson on 09-Sep-2008
We flew in our Cherokee, landed and tied down without calling ahead. Stopped at the desk and let them know we were stopping into the cafe. I also had them top off the tanks. There was no parking fee if you eat at the cafe or buy fuel - that's fair. The fuel price was a little high compared to other surrounding places. Overall service and professionalism was right up with the best. We'll be back.

From Robert Bolt on 07-Sep-2008
100LL was 6.58/gal. But FBO service in locating hotel and providing rental car on UF game day was extraordinary; thanks to Cindy

From Ryan Williams on 27-Jun-2008
Flew in for breakfast at the restaurant inside the FBO. Was surprised they did not charge a ramp fee or anything. The lineman was a really nice guy (worked part time to help fund his own flying) and parked my (172) right up front next to a Dayjet. Will definitely come back here again without question.

From Brian Wolf on 23-Jun-2008
Line service was good. The fuel is $1.00 cheaper if you use the SS. I would use the FBO again.

From Rick Sorrell on 25-Apr-2008
Landed here to drop off two Angel Flight Passengers that had parked their car nearby. Neither was exceptionally mobile so I had to park at Landmark since they parked out front. I was there long enough to help walk two aging people through the lobby and didn't even stop to use the restroom, as I was rather anxious to get home myself and would have to fuel there anyway. Was told to buy 10 gallons of fuel at price that is 22% more than the state average ($6.39) and the highest within 50 NM. I chose to pay the $15.98 fee instead. Asked if there was a break for angel flight missions and was told "apparently not". Ask me if I will fly another Angel Flight mission to Landmark and I would say apparently not. I'm all about free enterprise, so if Landmark can pull it off then I guess it must be ok. The thing I regret the most is not reading the comments about Landmark on AirNav before I arrived. They say you get what you pay for. I just didn't know a sour taste was worth $15.98.

Response from Beth Matthews, Accountant, Landmark Aviation
I apologize for the error in communication from our staff, If you present your paper work from Angel Flight we will waive the faciltiy fee. We will credit Mr. Sorrell for the $15.98 fee charged. Our posted fuel price for AvGas that day was $6.17 with Self Serve available for $5.17, not the $6.39 that in the comments.

From Eric Ibscher on 14-Mar-2008
A nice FBO with good service, and professional staff. Unfortunately the fuel is very overpriced for the area. We paid $5.70 for Jet-A, and later that day we paid $4.00 at KISM. I would stay again, but the 25 dollar ramp fee is probably worth buying fuel elsewhere!

From Kevin Davis on 25-Feb-2008
Nice facility and friendly staff with an excellent Cafe' in the FBO.

From Sean Lee on 03-Feb-2008
Excellent Service! After arriving at 7pm, we were directed to park by a lineman and greeted in the entrance by friendly lady by the name of Leslie. We were allowed a crew car and took it to dinner. We arrived latter that night and decided to spend the night (they dropped us off at the hotel using their crew car.) In the morning, we were weathered due to ground fog and had to wait for it to clear up.) No harm, we just waited around in the presence of other VFR pilots until the fog cleared (which took a while, it wasn’t sufficient until about 1230.) Costs: 8.6 Gal 100LL @ $4.53/gal Lunch at Tailwinds for two (great food!) = $20.00 Overall, the experience was outstanding.

From Tim Shaw on 19-Dec-2007
Stopped here 12/8/07 on way to South FL for fuel. On my bill fuel says $4.53 tax included good stop. Clean FBO, nice ppl good line service (Prompt). Would stop again.

From Randall Cole on 05-Nov-2007
Well I mentioned to the FBO I would post on AirNav, good or bad. I had the opportunity to stop at Ocala after a short hop from Orlando due to an intestinal problem. I was grateful for the use of the restroom but I was there less than 10 minutes and was told I would need to buy fuel or pay a ramp fee. I was quite taken back by that. It would probably not have bothered me as much if I had been feeling better. After a brief discussion about post on AirNav the manager came out and waived the fee/ top off. Although he did not have to waive the fees I felt it was the right thing to do. Had I planned on stopping there for any reason I would have not hesitated to refuel. The facility from what I saw was extremely nice; the staff was very polite even as I was upset. The fuel prices were discounted as they have weekend rates. $4.60 on the weekends. I would not hesitate to use the facilities in the future.

From Michael Holder on 24-Oct-2007
I use this airport all the time both for training and pleasure. The linemen are super nice and the landing fee is always waived because I really go there to eat at the Tail Wind Cafe. Once I landed there to wait out weather (read excuse to eat at tail wind) the lineman came out to meet me with an umbrella, I was flying a C172. I got the same service that the crew of the Falcon 900 who landed behind me. Very impressive indeed. I didn't even buy fuel.

From Jonathan Amundsen on 31-Aug-2007
Very Unhappy. I arrived late in the day, after 6pm, no one came out to park us so we parked in an empty tie down. After which someone finally came out, only to tell us we had to move. Then when we were ready to leave after about 20 minutes, I was told 25 gallons or a $25 landing fee. When I questioned this, the lady behind the counter told me that it was a new policy being enforced by the new manager and that it would be charged to all aircraft landing at OCF. So 25 gal or $25? No chance at all that I will ever return to Landmark in OCF. I am a regular customer at Landmark in LAL and have always been pleased with the service that I received from them. I wish I could say the same for the OCF Landmark.

Response from Scott Daniluk, General Manager, Landmark Aviation
Mr. Amundsen, I would like to apologize for the poor service you received on your recent visit to Landmark-Ocala. It is not our standard for a customer to park his own a/c. This is not good service nor is it a safe situation to put you into. We do have the facility fees but we do have some leeway on those. If a customer makes an effort to purchase fuel even though less than the minimum we do appreciate this and should and do waive any facility fees. If you have additional comments or questions beyond what we discussed on the phone please contact me at 352-237-3444 or via e-mail at scott.daniluk@landmarkaviation.com

From J Briceno on 14-Aug-2007
July 2007 Line personnel are great. Staff at the office superb. Food at the coffee shop excellent (Try the cheeseburgers). Fuel..... Extremely expensive Ramp Fee.... They charge anywhere from $35 to $75 per night ramp fees.............Even if you buy fuel......... TIP: If you park at the southeast ramp in front of the old terminal, Landmark cannot charge parking fees. The ramp belongs to the City of Ocala. There are better airport options around Ocala. I will not fly into KOCF again.

Response from Scott Daniluk, General Manager, Landmark Aviation
Mr. Briceno, I appreciate the nice comments about our staff and our facility. Just to set the record straight we do not charge facility fees with minimal fuel purchases. Additionally if you come close or make a good effort to purchase minimal fuel we then would waive the facility fees. Facility fees for piston a/c are much less than stated. Cafe customers (100LL) are not charged any fees other than any fuel they choose to purchase. If you would please contact me here at the FBO I would be happy to look at any fees we may have charged on your last visit. We do appreciate your visit and want all customers to leave feeling like they received some type of value and service.

From Aubrey Stewart on 06-Jul-2007
Nice FBO but the fuel cost was excessive. They gave me a $1/gal discount on July 4th but is was still $.80 more than my last stop even with the discount. Still, the facility was nice.

From Richard Roth on 13-Jun-2007
Visited OCF for a few hours for a meeting. As always, was met by the Landmark folks with smiling faces and great service! Crew car was new (and clean), fuel prices were reasonable (in today’s market) and the line handlers were prompt and friendly. A facility for many others to emulate!

We spent the night in Ocala May 13, 2007. The hostess at the Landmark desk arranged hotel accommodations for us (She had to call several motels to find a vacancy.). She booked the room arranged a free ride in the company van and there was no charge for an overnight tie down with the purchase of reasonably priced 100LL. Great service!

From West Jones on 25-Apr-2007
The staff at Landmark truly knows the meaning of customer service! When I arrived in my aircraft, I was treated as if I was in a biz jet however I was flying a 150. I will be back for sure. Thank you for your great service Landmark!

Landmark is TOP NOTCH..! I arrived to Ocala Aviation Services to complete my Commercial Rating during the week of Sun & Fun 2007. During my stay that week, both outfits made the experience a pleasant and memorable experience. The line folks at Landmark were ALWAYS prompt and courteous. OAS is one of the best schools I have ever experience! Their approach is straightforward and precise. If you are ever in the Ocala area, give yourself a chance to experience the best out there... Landmark you guys rock!
