I landed at ORF because of an engine problem and to keep this short Landmark exceeded all expectations, Jeff as stated in prior posts is as professional as you can find and clearly interested in high quality customer service. They did it all and provided a 25-cent AOPA discount on fuel. Front desk, line personal, maintenance, etc. All are clearly trained in the fine and lost art of customer service one has to believe (and hope) this is because it is important to senior management.

Great stop. Landmark staff friendly and helpful. Had van ready to pick up my passenger at the commercial terminal. Fueled quickly and received .25-cent AOPA discount, thanks! $3.00 landing fee for my Mooney. I will return.

I was there on May 28. I broke down and needed a starter for a Mirage. Jeff from the maintenance department provided the finest service I have had in 20 years of flying. Absolutely without peer. Desk personnel, especially Lani(?) were terrific and could not do enough to help me and make my stay as pleasant as possible. Outstanding service. ($.25 fuel break for AOPA members.) Highly recommend.

N2212R - Flew in on 5/1/08 and stayed overnight. Excellent service by line and front desk staff. Landmark picked us up in their van at our hotel the next morning and went out of their way to assist us in every way possible. Overnight parking charge of $15 wasn't too steep for a larger airport and they offer a $0.25 per gallon discount on their 100LL for AOPA members so make sure you bring your AOPA card with you. Oh, and yes, there is a landing fee. Was charged $4 to land at KORF in my Piper Cherokee 180.

An aircraft owner had a mechanical problem with his aircraft after landing at ORF. He asked us to pick up the plane from Landmark Aviation at Norfolk after it was repaired. Jeff's maintenance department at Landmark did everything absolutely right from leaving the bad parts for our inspection, supplying the logbook entry, finishing the repair as promised and arranging to pick up our pilot at the main terminal. Thanks for the great job. It seems like it was done effortlessly and very cheerfully.

Fellow pilots, this is certainly one of the best overnight stops on the east coast. Landmark staff outstanding, friendly, and accomodating. Set us up with hotel, delivered and picked us up, recommended our dinner place and were genuinely nice. Thanks for the AOPA fuel discount.

Great fuel stop headed south from New York. Very clean/large facility. Stayed overnight at the Wingate Inn hotel, it is a 3-minute drive and is around $79 with the "Landmark Corporate Rate." Numerous fast food next door/walking distance. Was given a ride from landmark there, and the hotel gave me a ride back the next morning. Has airline service at the field in case needed.

Stopped in today for a couple of hours, they were real busy. Great staff let me use a courtesy car and did mapquest to get me directions. Great place to stop, I will be back.

Modern full service facility. Treated my wife and I equal to the jet crews which I cannot say for other large FBO's. Discounted our parking for buying fuel and had our Commander 114 out front on the morning of departure. Drove us around to pick up and later drop off our rental car. Highly recommended.

Stopped here for local business in Norfolk. They were nothing but polite and friendly, and offered the use of the crew car for me to use to attend my meeting. Will certainly be back!

First trip to KORF and first experience with Landmark. No rental car on arrival but courtesy driver dropped us at terminal. Despite departure date and time stated at registration, plane tied down when we arrived - too busy and crowded to move - but 2 other single-engine planes arrived and marshaled promptly - front counter staff just didn't want to bother.... Preferred to chat with people in lobby. Allow plenty of time when dealing with Landmark!

Landmark/KORF was the only FBO/Airport among many in the area to offer overnight hangar space ($35 for a light twin). The handling fee was waved with the purchase of fuel. First class operation in all respects. The fuel price was comparable to the other airports in the area that offered limited additional services. Very friendly staff. I would not hesitate to use this facility. KORF controllers were terrific to deal with.

I actually do not know where the previous comments come from. Stopped there yesterday for an overnight. 6 dollar landing fee, 15-dollar overnight, which was waived since I bought gas. Gas was 4.60 with a .25 cent AOPA member discount, and they asked me is I was an AOPA member, I did not even think about the discount. Great place.

Flew my SE Cessna to ORF for a passenger pick up. Landmark staff was accommodating; I was charged a $3.00 landing fee and facility fee was waived with fuel purchase. My recommendation - Call for fee schedule before arrival.

We stopped in to get an Ambassador passport stamp...A costly stamp! In a light twin, we were charged a $7 landing fee and a $40.00 handling fee and were never even tied down and were only there for a matter of minutes!!! (They did waive the $40 fee if we bought an equal amount of their expensive fuel). The Landmark sign is one to AVOID. We had a similar BAD experience at their Groton, Conn. (GON) location where they tried to charge us $275/night for a Skylane to be TIED DOWN OUTSIDE. We negotiated it down to $75 before we went next door to Columbia for a great experience and $10/night. Unfortunately, Landmark has no competitor in Norfolk, but Newport News/Williamsburg Airport (PHF) is only a few miles away. We receive exceptional care there!

Stopped in overnight with a SE Cessna. Needed no services accept a tie down? Line help said they would take care of it. Following morning, I arrived at the FBO to find the plane at the same location un-tied! Bought 60 gals of gas and was charged an $80 overnight stay fee. I asked for the manager, and was told he was too busy. AVOID! AVOID AVOID !!

Great and friendly service when I RON'ed in my Cessna 421. But even with 40-gallon fuel purchase, ramp fee was high: $45.

The folks at Landmark are always top notch and their facility has everything you could ever want in a FBO. Unfortunately their excessive fuel prices ($4.35 for 100LL) and the landing fee charged by the airport authority are driving my business across town. I will miss the friendly service. Sorry, guys.

First time to stop in at ORF. Even though we were in our PA28 - first class treatment all the way. Dropped us off at NAVAMPHIBASE Little Creek for a retirement. Friendly and helpful tower and approach controllers.

I stopped at ORF 9/9/06 to visit friends. Landmark is a great FBO - overall first class but with first class prices as well. Overnight tie down is $25.00 per night (not waived with $200 fuel purchase) for a Cessna 182. This is among the highest tie down prices on the East Coast.

Overall good service. But they did not have the GPU hooked up at the time we requested, and when they did, it wouldn't work on our Learjet 45 so they had to change it out for another one.

On the way to Philly, the weather blew up and we diverted to ORF. Landmark was TOP NOTCH!! Fuel price was good for 'class C airport' Pilot lounge and snooze room made an unexpected stop comfortable. The line man and night mgr made me, my wife and 2yr old feel at home. Everyone was professional and helpful. They treated us like we flew big iron and we were only in a PA28. Landmark ORF was a great place to stop!

We flew in from Ithaca in a C-172. I had called in advance about the fees charged, $3.00 landing, the $30.00 is waived with a fuel purchase and $12.00 overnight, no surprises. I found Landmark to be a great place and very friendly. I asked about a rental car when inside at the counter and their price was cheaper than I was able to book online with any company's week-end rate. On a special note I found all Approach, Tower, Clearance, Ground and Departure controllers very friendly and helpful, nice job. I would recommend Norfolk Intl as an A+++++ stop. Thanks to all.

LANDMARK AVIATION now charges a $30.00 "FACILITY" fee which can be wavered if $30.00 of fuel is purchased, fuel is $4.50 per gal. Plus taxes. This charge isn't explained unless the staff is questioned. Of course this charge is passed on to the consumer for those commercial operations. For us non-commercial GA pilots its another drain on our wallets.

Beware, things have changed. Now Landmark Aviation, it is $33 total to park for any length of time. After reluctantly paying for a brief stop I have received bi-weekly phone calls essentially accusing me of skipping the bill by not signing, even though their charges have already posted to my credit card account. Next trip I'll land elsewhere and spend the $33 on a rental car.

Visited Piedmont Hawthorne at ORF again over the weekend. Just want to report in again that the line staff and desk staff there are very friendly & professional. The facility is very nice and includes a passenger area, pilot's lounge, vending & cantina, and flight planning room. I was in a C172 and was charged a $3.00 landing fee. I was visiting family in the area for a few hours and was offered the crew car before requesting a small fuel purchase. The gas is expensive, but everything else at PH ORF is top notch, at least for a day trip.
