Flew in for the Mustang P-51 Roundup - 107 P-51's at the Rickenbacker Airport - amazing event! OSU airport was very nice with an on-site restaurant; however, the fuel prices are way too high. My local price is $3.80 and they make a profit. Why is OSU $5.00+.... Airports like this are hurting general aviation and at the same time overcharging corporate flight departments who pay the price.

Flew into OSU twice in the past week including a trip for a Buckeye football game. Great service both times. On game day, a lineman erred by putting more fuel on board than requested. He sought me out at the parking lot bus stop to report his error and refused to let me pay for his mistake (several extra gallons of fuel). Columbus APPRCH and OSU tower have a great "can-do" attitude working the broad mix of traffic in the area including the game day crunch of simultaneous arrivals and departures. Thanks to ALL!

One of the most professional FBOs you will find. Everything and everyone functions like a well-oiled machine. Ramp fee usually waived with a fuel top off. Taxi ways currently under construction but very easy to get around. Thanks to all at Ohio State Aviation!

Airport turned IFR as we were arriving (blowing snow), asked and received Contact Approach to 27L. Line service parked us up front, passenger's rental car was waiting, crew car was available, and fuel wasn't terribly priced for Jet A. All in all, not a bad facility.

Was told by FBO that they no longer offer courtesy cars. Pilot may call a taxi or use Thrifty Car Rental.

Desk workers were less than helpful. Would not give a crew car because we weren't wearing the corporate pilot "monkey suit" despite the fact that we put quite a bit of fuel in our bird. Told us they didn't have one, meanwhile a NetJets crew was able to get the car and took us with them. Controllers use local waypoints, which isn't a bad thing but difficult for non-locals.

Just wanted to send a quick note of thanks for all the hard work and volunteering from everyone at OSU during the NIFA SAFECON collegiate flight competition held here during the week of May 8-14. Over 30 schools with more than 350 competitors utilized this airport for the national competition, and with the exception of a couple days of dismal weather, the event went incredibly smoothly thanks to all of the planning and coordination executed by the school, FBO, tower, and countless others. We are looking forward to returning next year for SAFECON '07.

The FBO is nice and clean. There was popcorn popping when I walked in. I was there to take a CATS Written Test (which is in Hanger 5 - just east of the FBO) and they pointed me in the right direction. I didn't spend much time there, but there were no fees to sit in front of the FBO in a single engine. Also, the tower/ground guys were great. Remember to KNOW what you're going to say before you speak.
