Great airport although a long taxi to FBO after landing 19...Tom greeted us with a smile and allowed us to use the Caviler courtesy car to explore the city for the evening. Holiday Inn Express was an excellent hotel at $65 web price. Art walk downtown along with dinner at River Steak house filled up the evening. We will be back soon.

Very friendly reception, low fuel price, courtesy car....Couldn't be any better. The FBO even put my antique bi-plane in a hangar overnight. This is a great overnight stop.

Flew in for a family reunion at Lake Oroville and was very impressed, not only by the low, low price of AvFuel but also by the airport overall. Lounge with cold water in the fridge made the family happy while I fuelled and preflighted the plane. If no one is at the desk or in the office, check the shop, they are more than willing to help.

I have started to make my XC plans to include OVE because of the low fuel prices compared to other airports. The fuel can be a bit tricky to fine the first time you go to this airport. The printer is very slow printing your receipt, but aside from this, nice quick in and out.

Stopped for fuel on my trip to and from Portland OR this past week, they have a nice air-conditioned pilots lounge with PC and the folks there are pleasant. Thanks for keeping the fuel prices this low and the hospitality! I will surely plan my XC flights with OVE in mind when traveling near the area.

Stopped for cheap fuel, stayed for a really good evening in the town!! FBO was open with the attentive owners right there, air conditioned, with restrooms, computer, and a lounge area, pump worked great, fuel was really inexpensive, free crew car to go to town, found a great gift store (Feather River Kitchen and Gifts, 2005 Bird Street) which is a training program for youth to learn retail skills, they also run a restaurant (Checkers, open 11-2 everyday, dinner on Fridays), and AWESOME gelato downtown. Had fun singing karaoke with the locals at The Depot. Loved the FBO, the town, the Holiday Inn Express is brand-new and full of extra services. Definitely a recommended layover stop!

Stopped at KOVE for cheap avgas ($3.60 on 7-5-09). The pump worked fine. There is a port-a-potty near the fuel pumps if you land after hours (we were there at 11:00 p.M. On a Sunday night.) Definitely a good stop for cheap fuel.

Stopped here for inexpensive fuel after diverting around weather along my planned route. The airport was quiet at the time, but a local CFI who had just landed was very friendly and helped me get the weather computer going. Thanks for the free soda too!

Went to Oroville on 5/9 for a meeting. Called ahead to inquire about car rental, Tom Hagler offered the crew car. Washed and ready for me when I arrived. The people couldn't be nicer here!

From Marcus Williams on 27-Apr-2008
The fuel pump works. There are no bathrooms, no planning facilities, no people, no crew car, and no restaurants. Oh, and no signs -- the fuel pumps are next to the small, unoccupied building at the north end of the field. If you need gas and nothing else, the gas is cheap. If you need something else, go to Chino or Marysville.

Response from Tom Hagler, Owner, Table Mountain Aviation (530)533-1313
There certainly are bathrooms, as well as an air conditioned lobby, a soda machine and a courtesy car. You do however need to be there during business hours, which are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Saturday, unless prior arrangements are made. April 27 was a Sunday.

Pilots, Be aware the gas pump for 100LL did not work for me at this airport. The telephone number for help is an answering machine, and there is no call back. I do not recommend stopping here for gas.

Maintenance is being done at Table Mountain Aviation. The airport, however, is managed by the city of Oroville, which does not have a representative at the airport. Helicopter pads are not marked on the ramp. Lots of ultralight operations from airport.

The FBO appears to be closed though the office was open. It appears the maintenance facility is open and they kind of watch over things. The self serve equipment worked though it was in marginal condition. It took five minutes after I finished pumping before a receipt printed. On the bright side, the runway was long and wide, and the fuel prices were very competitive. When I was there I think they were tied for the lowest price in Northern California.
