Stopped in at OXR today, by myself in my 182. Was kindly greeted and asked if I needed anything. Didn't get any fuel, but the staff didn't hesitate to lend me the crew car, a new Infiniti. Overall great experience, didn't feel like I wasn't important to them, will be back!

NOT GA Friendly!!! Landed to pickup local residents on a trip and went inside to greet friends. Counter agent asked if I needed services and I let him know, I am doing a quick turn to grab friend and nothing was needed at this time. He replied, "You need to pay $20 for a ramp fee" (only 1 Baron was parked) I had told him I am not parking and will be airborne in minutes. He said something less than courteous, and demanded $20, which I paid so I wasn't embarrassed in front of my friends. I made it clear that when return needing services they will not be my choice. He replied in some other rude fashion. > Go next door to the other FBO they have been super friendly in my subsequent visits.

I received a friendly greeting by the two gentlemen at the front desk today. They welcomed me and offered the use of the pilot lounge to complete my preflight briefing. Before I could complete the briefing the FBO owner’s son, Steve came in and rudely stated that the facilities were for customers only. I decided not to become his customer, not to buy fuel from this rare gem of an inhospitable FBO.

Golden West is the professional full service FBO at OXR. I'm based in San Diego and travel often to OXR for business. I have used this FBO for years. Same great service from line and desk personnel whether you arrive in a G5 or C182 (my case) Beach is close, Embassy Suites will send a van to get you. Crew cars available.

Flew in to checkout the airport. The staff was great and took excellent care of us. Great pilot lounge and a courtesy car. Would definitely go back.
