We stopped here on a Sunday to replace a vacuum pump. They had a large call-out fee for a mechanic on a Sunday, so we decided to stay the night. We had a dog with us and thought it would be hard to find a hotel, but the Pear Tree hotel accepts pets and they were running a special of $49/night. It's usually $89/night. Very nice rooms. Clean and modern. The FBO does not have courtesy cars that you can borrow, but they gladly drive you to and from the hotel. The next day, the shop replaced the vacuum pump with one they had in stock, and we were on our way again by 11:00 am. All in all a nice stop.

Stopped both ways on my way to and from AirVenture from South Georgia. Both times fuel turnaround time was excellent. On the way home a fuel quick drain broke during sumping. Wally dropped everything and helped me replace the drain. I was underway faster than fuel alone at some places I've been. GREAT JOB WALLY and the whole crew at Midwest.

We were planning on stopping at Midwest this coming Saturday morning but have decided against doing so. After speaking with a friendly voice on the phone and learning their Avgas is $4.89/gallon and no crew car availability (short term rental car is $21/hour) we’ll head across the river and drive back down.

We have stopped in 2 times. The first was for a passenger transfer with Angel Flight. The second time for fuel passing through on a X/C. Service was nice both times and the briefing room, albeit upstairs, is good with room to work. FBO is in good condition, a decent place to stop.

Stopped in for a meeting. We were met with a courteous line personnel. The staff at the counter was very helpful. They offered to drive us to our meeting place and then a phone to them when it was over and they were there to pick us up in less than 10 minutes. Very nice facility for a small airport. We were impressed. All of that and we didn't buy fuel. We'll be back. Thanks to all!

Great experience after diverting here last week with a high CHT. Cowling was off within 15 minutes and departed 2 hours later. Pilot friendly shop and I was welcome in the hangar.

We had a pleasant experience at Midwest back in August of 2006. The strawberry blonde haired receptionist (glasses) was exceptional. After a long duty day, marginal weather, and soaring temps, her bubbly personality, and her smile made it all worth the effort. The facility itself was acceptable. We were not able to receive neither a lav service nor a hangar. And the fact that they allowed smoking in the building was unacceptable. I don't want to smell like smoke and be subject to second hand smoke in a professional environment. Hopefully Midwest will catch up with the other 99.9% of FBO's that are non-smoking. Besides those three gripes, we were very happy with the service of the line people and the front desk. Thanks for making our stay in Paducah a pleasant one!

Nice clean facilty, friendly linemen and CSR. NO CREW CAR, but nice enough to drive us less than 10 minutes to get something to eat. NOT AVFUEL ANYMORE, now Conoco-Phillips. Volume discounts, so call ahead for actual fuel price.

From Jeff Mackey on 22-Nov-2006
The service is good, people friendly, and Hertz is on site (I paid $33/ day for a Taurus), and the FBO is in really good shape. However, fuel prices are high for this airport and region (many nearby locations cost less), so OVERALL GRADE: B+

My wife and I landed on June 19th. This was the 3rd time of stopping at Paducah, and experiencing Midwest Aviation. They are great: warm positive professional caring. Thanks everyone.

Great FBO. Thursday's they have good barbecue. Very helpful. They took us to our hotel, then picked us up next morning.

Stopped there for fuel on the way north from Memphis. Well equipped FBO, nice people, however, fuel is a little pricey for the location !

I stopped for the night of 14 January 2006. The service was *wonderful* and the gas prices were only a little high (considering the overall climate these days). I will gladly return to Midwest Aviation.

Great service, but you'll pay for in very high fuel prices. If you must go there, they will treat you very, very well.

I have been coming to Midwest everyday for the past six months and I have never had any problems. The people here are very friendly and as far as the courtesy car goes, I have never had any problem getting a ride into town for lunch. As a matter of fact, during the summer, you don't even need a car on Thursdays. They have free hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken all summer long on Thursday, I recommend you get here shortly after 11:00 local. It's well worth it.

Diverted into PAH this morning because destination, CEY, was below minimums. I paid $4.27 per gallon for 100LL!!!!! About the same price at Chicago Midway. However, it is a nice facility and pilot briefing room. Internet available also.
