Made a rest stop in Prairie DU Chien in route to Mason city on 9/2/07. Very friendly FBO and clean restrooms. People talk to you like that know you. Must be a common bond between pilots. I will stop there again some time.

What a pleasant experience we had in Prairie du Chien when weather interrupted our trip. We arrived after hours and walked across the street to the Bridgeport Inn. They sent a car back for our luggage and returned us in the morning. The accommodations were exceptional. The FBO was very friendly and helpful. We plan to stop again.

Not as friendly as other comments make it to be. I flew in on a solo x-country in a 172 from my flight school, and people looked at me like I flew in on a garbage can with wings held on with duct tape (sorry, I'm only a student pilot and can't afford a Cirrus, Mooney or hot rod twin). Messy lounge area and filthy restroom.

Nice airport with a super friendly and courteous staff. Stopped in for breakfast so we took the walk to Huckleberrys (10min on foot)
