I was expecting KPDK to be a BUSY airport, but it actually wasn't as bad as airports in the DC/MD and Philly area. ATC is very good here, and in fact on an IFR plan flying south you will fly directly over KATL which is a sight to see the busiest airport in the world from 5, 000 feet...

We stop enroute from Naples to S.E. Wisconsin. We can fuel up, stretch our legs, and hit the bathrooms and press on to our destination. Ground controllers direct you easily to the "Self serve fuel." The pump uses the familiar QT credit card machine. What could be easier? I heartily recommend PDK SS AVGAS.

Finally some reasonably priced fuel at PDK! I have fueled there a couple of times now and the Self Service system is very easy to use.

Tried this new self-serve pump today for the first time. Worked great and at a fair price. Finally some competition for the PDK gang of three!

I watched for a while. Wondering if the tank was going to be a self-serve fuel station. Finally, last week I drove by and it was complete. Yesterday, upon my return from Sun 'n Fun, I did not have the need to stop at 19A for a fill-up. And what a convenience this is. At last there is affordable 100LL at PDK. Thank you, Pilot Shop!
