About Cutter Aviation
Founded in 1928, Cutter Aviation is America's oldest continually family-owned FBO and aviation service company. Cutter Aviation operates at eight major airports in the Southwestern United States. Cutter locations in Arizona (Deer Valley and Phoenix Sky Harbor), New Mexico (Albuquerque), Texas (Dallas-Addison, and San Antonio) and Colorado (Colorado Springs) provide a wide range of services to transient and based aircraft including fuel and FBO service, maintenance, avionics, new and pre-owned aircraft sales and charter and aircraft management.
The Phoenix facility is a full-service fixed-base operator, Albuquerque and Colorado Springs provide line service for transient aircraft, and San Antonio and Dallas-Addison provide new and pre-owned aircraft sales as well as maintenance.

Looking Back
Continuously family-owned for eight decades, the company originated as Cutter Flying Service Inc. in Albuquerque. William P. Cutter envisioned a business that would serve the fledgling aviation community and the resulting enterprise exceeded his expectations. The company survived the Great Depression, and at the outbreak of World War II became major pilot training facility for the military. In 1947, the company began its long-standing affiliation with Beech Aircraft Corporation. Since that time the Cutter name became synonymous with major and emerging aircraft brands, ranging from piston singles to light and medium turbine aircraft.

Looking Ahead
Over the years, Cutter has maintained a position of leadership in the general aviation community by consistently expanding its services and its locations. Cutter Aviation, Inc. opened its Phoenix operation in 1959. The Deer Valley facility opened in 1997, San Antonio in 1998, Colorado Springs in 2006 and Dallas-Addison in 2013. Cutter remains strong due to an unwavering commitment to customer service, customer and employee satisfaction, and business practices rooted in our core values of respect, trust and integrity.
Company President Will Cutter reinforces this: "These are key ingredients to a formula that has kept us at the forefront of the industry. They have helped us establish a reputation that we are all proud of. Our values have served us well for eighty years, and without them, Cutter would be just another run-of-the-mill service station for airplanes."

Another great experience at Cutter PHX. No ramp charge with fuel. Surprisingly easy in and out for a big airport. Cutter has wonderful facilities and a great staff.

I was impressed by this FBO. After a short notice Call, we arrived to a "follow me" truck and promptly parked. They picked up my passenger at the airplane and shuttled us to the terminal to catch a last minute flight home for a hospitalized loved one. Thank you, all of this for a small single piston. Gladly paid the $20 ramp fee.

I've flown my single engine piston in here at least six times, and the experience couldn't be better. ATC are great, Cutter staff is welcoming and attentive and crew rate hotels are GREAT!

Current fees as of October 2017 for a Bonanza: $20 ramp fee. No overnight fee if you buy 15 gallons of 100LL

Dropped by overnight on my way to an AOPA fly-in. Great service as usual.

I flew a business jet in for the College Football Championship and were marshaled in and greeted by several linemen. The rental cars arrived promptly as well. Upon leaving we were well taken care of as well. The only question I have is who I am in the world decided to remodel the FBO during the busiest month of the year? With the championship game and the NFL playoffs in town I wouldn't have scheduled accordingly...

On a recent Friday afternoon, we had a problem with the landing gear switch on our 1967 single engine Bonanza. We could not retract the gear. After trying two other airports, we were referred to Cutter Aviation at SKY HARBOR (gulp! Class Bravo!!). Even though it was a busy Friday afternoon, and even though we were in a little single engine bugsmasher among business jets and airliners, the fine folks at Cutter took us in and treated us with respect. They quickly diagnosed a defective switch, but when they priced it out at over $6, 000 (they don't make those things any more) they immediately started investigating plan B. Ed worked the weekend shift (we were very grateful they even had a weekend shift) and he was able to fix the switch and a few other problems. Everyone from the maintenance manager to the line guys to CSRs and the rental car woman were as helpful and friendly as they could be. We were able to leave on Sunday morning and get home to Florida with no major delay.

Nice facility and good people make this the FBO to use if you use PHX airport in a private plane. All of my cares and needs were well taken care of.
