About Cutter Aviation
Founded in 1928, Cutter Aviation is one of the country's oldest general aviation service companies. It has operations at six major airports in Arizona (Deer Valley and Phoenix), New Mexico (Albuquerque) and Texas (Dallas, El Paso and San Antonio). In addition to providing services to transient aircraft, Cutter sells, services and maintains business and privately owned aircraft. The company also provides charter and aircraft management services and operates a full-service travel agency. The Phoenix, Deer Valley, Albuquerque, and Dallas facilities are full-service, fixed-base operations, with El Paso providing line services for transient aircraft. San Antonio provides aircraft and parts sales as well as maintenance.

Looking Back
Continuously family-owned for seven decades, the company originated as Cutter Flying Service Inc., in Albuquerque. William P. Cutter envisioned a business that would serve the fledgling aviation community - and the resulting enterprise exceeded his expectations. The company survived the Great Depression, and, at the outbreak of World War II, became major pilot training facility for the military. In 1947, the company began its long-standing affiliation with Beech Aircraft Corporation. From the time the first Beechcraft airplane was delivered, the Cutter name became-and continues to be-synonymous with Beechcraft, a Raytheon company. In fact today, Cutter's Dallas facility is the newest authorized Raytheon service center in the Western United States.

Looking Ahead
Over the years, Cutter has maintained a position of leadership in the general aviation community by consistently expanding its services and its locations. Cutter Aviation, Inc., opened its Phoenix operation in 1959. The El Paso facility opened in 1982, Deer Valley followed in 1997, San Antonio in 1998, and Dallas in 2002. Today, a significant ramp expansion project is under way in Phoenix, where two large corporate hangars are being added. Additionally, a new facility is being constructed in El Paso and is due to be completed before year-end. What's more, Cutter closed out 2004 on a high note, booking its best year ever.

Family Values
Company President Will Cutter says Cutter's success is due, in large part, to its ongoing emphasis on the core values of Respect, Trust and Integrity. "These are key ingredients to a formula that has kept us at the forefront of the industry," Cutter notes. "They have helped us establish a reputation that we are all proud of. These values have served us well for 78 years, and without them, Cutter would be just another run-of-the-mill service station for airplanes."

I’m in PHX about once a week in a King Air 200 and have never got anything but outstanding service from the line service and girls (and mike) behind the counter. Everyone is super friendly and for 50 gallons or $50 which for a turbine twin I find very reasonable. Especially at the primary airport.

Flew into PHX for biz. No delays at all (IFR) Parked the Debonair at Cutter. Rental car took about 15 minutes and return was less than 5. Top off waived the landing fee of $15/night. Very nice FBO and employees. Pilot lounge was incredible. Highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of flying into KPHX and using Cutter Aviation. I do not know what was better; Line Service or the Customer Service. Everyone was extremely professional, courteous and willing to go out of their way to help. In addition to the wonderful service, fuel prices were very competitive for the region. Anytime I find myself in Phoenix, I will return to Cutter Aviation. Thank you to the staff that went above and beyond!

We fly into Cutter twice a month in a C414. The service is great, the line people and CSR are very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. They have a very nice terminal and the best pilots lounge I've been in.

I called to make car and hotel reservations and the staff was most friendly, even calling back to give me confirmation numbers and ask if I needed directions to where I was going. THEN I got weathered out by a ground hold into Phoenix and couldn't make the trip at the last minute. Gabrielle was MOST helpful going to bat for me with the airport Hilton when they wanted to charge me a massive cancellation fee! Fantastic flight support service!

I spent a week at Cutter, Phoenix, just before the Christmas Break. Everything was very well done Fueling, towing, catering, hangaring, and car rental. Not cheap, but worth it for the service. Will return.

We (my 1982 Cessna T210 and I) Arrived with a dead alternator and was ultimately told that Cutter's policy is not to work on piston engine airplanes more than 15 years old. Not good.

From Tony Calvillo on 05-May-2006
Very nice FBO, in fact it's the best FBO I've been to. Great service. No ramp fee with fuel purchase. Flew in a Bonanza to drop off two passengers and they shuttled them to the terminal. Quick turn around.

From Jon Rudolf on 09-Mar-2006
Had another of several perfect experiences with Cutter today. Each time I have flown in with my Mooney, they have provided impeccable service, including instantaneous ride's to and from the airline terminal, assistance with luggage quick-turn fueling and pleasant staff and facilities. I cannot think of an FBO at a major airport that provides better service to light GA aircraft, and they have always waived fees for me with a fuel purchase.

From Michael Christie on 29-Nov-2005
I've parked at Cutter 3 times this year. My experience there has been that they are well equipped to handle just about any issue. I fly a Mooney and they charged $25/night, first night waived with a minimum fuel purchase far in excess of $25. I was given a different story about the overnight fees each time I asked. In my experience with Phoenix area airports, if someone is picking you up you'd be better off parking at one of the satellite airports. Virtually all of them are conveniently located near a major highway into the city and the prices are simply much less. Sky Harbor is 10 minutes to downtown. Deer Valley and Falcon Field are 20 minutes, just pick the field closest to where you want to go, you'll surely pay much less in any case. Don't forget that the merciless Phoenix sun is the same where ever you land so you might as well get a good price!
