We held our first joint LOBO/Lancair Fly-In at Taney County Oct. 7-9. Mark Parent's crew were simply fantastic with their service and cooperation for our big event. First rate!

Taney is a great place to fly into if you are going to Branson. The people and service is excellent. The facilities are clean and modern. Rental cars are available. The fuel was on the high end 5.95 and there was a $10 per night fee. We were there for 7 nights so we paid close to the $75 monthly fee. I guess that can be expected when in a resort area. They do maintain an excellent staff and facility. There is self-serve fuel 39 miles away at Ozark Mountain airport. Story on that is guy runs the tanks but no FBO or services. People by his cheap fuel and then use services of FBO's on field, something wrong with that. We left early Sunday morning before they opened, but sent a check for parking at Taney, they earn it, and we want them to be there next time we come to town,

This is a very nice airport for those flying in for the shows and entertainment. Rental car was easily picked up and very nice, new, and clean facilities. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fuel is no bargain, but I'm sure it's helping support the general aviation infrastructure, so we purchased there even though it would have been cheaper nearby. I found the runway surface to be fine despite the fair condition report. They deserve your business, here.

Nothing but bright smiling faces on the line. Gas was a bit pricey. Wonderful view over the river on short final and departing gives you a "big airliner" feel as you depart over the valley and town! Wonderful experience, we will be back!

Visited three weeks ago but forgot to say thanks to David and Vince via AirNav!! We flew our 172 in and were met on the ramp. They carried all our gear to the parking lot for us and let us use the crew car to take everything over to our condo. Called them a couple days later to arrange for fuel so we could fly over Joplin and they made sure the plane was ready to go when we arrived. VERY nice people. GREAT location. We will not stay anywhere else.

Hello all, this is the first trip to Branson. Good to find an airport less than 3 miles away. The crew here has been so helpful and very pleasant. Really made the stay worthwhile. Try to plan you trip to Branson with this airport.

I have never heard of anyone not getting the fuel that they paid for at PLK before. I believe someone in an earlier comment may have had a fuel miscalculation. But us pilots never make mistakes right?

If you’re going to Branson, this is the place to land. Great service, closest to Branson, and car rental on field available. Also you can rent a Harley if you desire! I've been in here several times and it’s always pleasant!

The location, facilities, and people are excellent. The $10 per day ramp fee is acceptable for short-term use, a little steep for 6 days. They provide no discount for fuel purchase! The monthly tie-down fee is $75. The past two visits have had me question fuelage. On my last visit I asked to be topped off, but wasn't. Coupled with a head-wind put me landing with one tank empty and only 5 gallons remaining in the other, much too close for me. This trip I used a calibrated fuel stick to measure my fuel after landing. Each of the 25 gal tanks had 16 gallons remaining, allowing a maximum of 9 gallons to fill. I asked for 8 gallons for each tank. Upon returning for my flight home, and paying for 16 gallons of fuel, I measured the fuel again to find only 21 gallons in each tank. You do the math and figure where the other 6 gallons of "purchased" fuel went! From now on, I will be standing beside the fuel truck when my plane is fueled, to make sure that I get what I am paying for.

Nice facility and runway. Taxiways are being resurfaced so no vehicle access to planes but lineman was there with cart to transport our luggage to and from the plane. No overrun areas at the end of runway and yes, there are steep drop offs on both ends! 5 minutes from town and yes, we will be back!

Fuel prices are the highest in a 50 NM range and the $10.00 ramp fee for a small GA airport should be done away with. I will use KFWB (Branson West) from now on. No fees and much better service. If this airport does get competitive with KFWB, they will be closing the doors!

We landed at PLK on 6/25/10 late afternoon and were greeted promptly by the lines person. Our rental car was all ready for our family reunion trip at Indian Point. The inside lady was very pleasant and got our fuel order taken care of right away. Everything about this FBO was top notch. The only complaint I can think of was the fuel prices and parking fees were a little on the high side, but I guess it is to be expected for this type of tourist area. Thx. Again for the good service.

Yearly pilgrimage to Branson for a week, we always enjoy the whole experience SO much! It really tops the list of fun, family-friendly destinations with tons to do and see in such a beautiful setting. Stayed at KPLK as always, very friendly and helpful folks that we can trust to take great care of us...Always a pleasure doing business with this FBO! Avis rental for the week, some local flying with family up there, comfortable facility, GA-friendly (yes, the $10/night tie-down but let's face it, at tourist destinations that's standard). Thanks again, and we'll see y'all next year!

This is still the best airport if your destination is Branson. It is right in the middle of all of the attractions. If your destination in DT Branson or the Branson landing area you don't even need a car. A very short cab ride. There is also an excellent Avis facility there. I suggest you call them direct as it is often confused with the Springfield/Branson airport, which is a long ways away. Avis at the PLK airport is 417-334-4945.

$10.00 fee per day whether or not it is landing fee or overnight fee. Most general aviation airports do not charge such a fee. Perhaps I do not land at enough big city locations? Fuel was not a bargain.

We arrived at PLK with a flight of three Beechcraft and as usual the service was great. Special mention to the Avis crew, they could not been more helpful in our rental of the 12-passenger van. PLK's FBO is modern, comfortable and well staffed. There may be new airports in the area, but with this level of service and close proximity of town, I see no reason to land anywhere else.

We arrived Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009 and were met on the ramp by line personnel. They took over and tied down our aircraft (Sundowner). I requested fueling and it was complete and ready when we ready to depart Sunday morning. Fair tie down fees and fuel prices. Friendly, helpful service. Avis rent car is in the terminal. Reservations are suggested. Yes, you can rent Harleys or scooters...Prices seem reasonable. This IS the airport if you are going to Branson. We will be back. Thanks folks!

Nice little airport. Linecrew is top notch, Dave and Vince were very friendly and quick to help us tiedown and carried our bags to rental car. My aircraft was fueled when I returned and ready to go. This is the only place to stop if you’re coming to Branson closer than BBG and better service with a lot less Fee's. Can't wait till my next trip to Branson, PLK is where I'll always stop.

Weeklong trip with my lil girl to Branson was FUNtastic!! Good communications with FBO in advance, friendly faces and rental car ready upon arrival, took great care of our baby. $10/night tie-down was the only fee, and fuel was reasonable. See y'all again soon!! ** Word of warning: The new Branson airport (KBBG) is only about 6 mi away, big runway stands out from in the air so you may get lured in by mistake...It's Class D & different freq, so take care!

Awesome Service, employees went out of their way to accommodate all our needs! Stayed beyond their posted closing time, talked on the radio giving us directions to their ramp. Brought the car to the aircraft, helped unload and rented us a hangar space for the night. This is the best service we've had in the last 30 or more airports we've visited.

Line service was prompt and friendly, but the staff inside was unprofessional. My passengers were ignored and help was hard to find. They don't like to give out the crew car even if you buy fuel. When allowed to use the car they are very strict on the one hour rule, even if the airport is empty. I was also told to put gas in the tank... Not impressed!
