Great place to stay, easy to find a place to stay and get around town. Friendly helpful people staffed here.

Flying my experimental Zenair home to Jacksonville, FL. From Pierre, S.D., September 15, 2009, weather forced me down at Poplar Bluff. After waiting all day for the weather to lift, needed to stay over. What a great place to stopover. They could not have been more accommodating. Had the courtesy car for the whole day, then for overnight. My little bird was hangared (free of charge) overnight. Mailing them a "LARGE" key ring, so no one will take off with their courtesy car keys in their pocket like I almost did!!!! Thanks for everything guys - it could not have been a more pleasurable experience.

My wife and I stopped there for fuel after 7:30pm on September 17th. We had called ahead and they told us they would be closed but there was a meeting going on and someone would help us with fuel. They could not have been nicer people. Really appreciate the fact that they made time from their meeting to get us fuel. I believe they now have 24-hour fuel service available. It was opening the day after we were there. Thanks for all the help!!

Sunday, 5/24/09 my wife and I were flying back to Arkansas after attending a granddaughter’s graduation celebration in Indiana. Being VFR, weather forced us to land a KPOF. Mike Smith, the airport manager, treated us better than we had ever been treated anywhere. Gave us a courtesy car to go into town for lunch & after waiting to see if weather would clear, let us use an empty hangar & car to go to local motel. We left next morning when weather went back to VFR. I assure you we will return to KPOF anytime we fly near it. Just a great place.

Our N900NE Turbo Commander stopped here several weeks ago and had a 'best of' experience, with great fuel prices, friendly staffing and fast turn.

I called in at Poplar Bluff for fuel on 4th March 2009 whilst ferrying my son's newly purchased Piper Challenger from Indiana County Airport in Pennsylvania to Ozark Regional In Arkansas. I received a very warm welcome and whilst the aircraft was being fueled was offered free refreshments and the use of all facilities. At the time of my arrival the local weather had closed in with a 2,400 overcast ceiling and I was unsure whether press on or stay overnight. I was told that should I wish to stay the FBO would book me a room at a local hotel and offered me use of the courtesy car for the night. Luckily reports and a weather briefing indicated that the weather would improve in the direction that I was heading so I decided (rightly) to continue my journey. I'm sure that I will return to KPOF again, especially as at $3.25 a gallon (inc tax) the fuel was the cheapest obtained on my journey.
