Stopped for fuel on my way to Boston. The staff could not have been nicer and the fuel prices are the best around. The FBO was new, nice and very clean. Highly recommended.

Thanks to Ed for all his help when I got weathered out last week...... Great service and Ed went out of his way to help! I wish I flew more in the South, I would definitely make Dinwiddie a must stop... Thanks TriPP 654HA

Great service! I flew into Petersburg for a few days and when I came back and fueled my airplane one of my fuel caps broke. The staff went out of their way to find me a solution. They were friendly and patient and had me back in the air in a few hours. Kudos!

Stopped for 100LL at 7AM 18 Aug 08. SS fuel worked OK but is a bit confusing as two switches had to be turned on. Assistance by a friendly fuel truck driver resolved the problem. Plus he gave us a ride to the nice new terminal about a block from the fuel pump. The phone in the entrance way was inop and we were told the airport manager didn't know the phone number for that phone to report it for repair! That phone is available when the terminal is locked. Fuel price was as advertised.

Response from Spencer Waddell, Airport Manager, Dinwiddie County Airport
In response to the August 23 2008 comments. Thanks for your business! We do our best to make sure everyone has a positive experience at KPTB and it sounds as though yours was. The self-serve pump was in the process of being converted to a single switch operation and as of last Tuesday August 26, 2008 that project is complete. On the telephone in the vestibule area, we have had an issue with this phone being on the "high tech" phone system. After your comment we replaced the phone entirely with a more reliable "low tech" system. All is well now! This was completed on Friday August 29, 2008. The phone in the vestibule is for after hours outgoing phone calls and while I do know the phone number, we keep that information private. Thanks for the feedback and we look forward to seeing you again! Sincerely

We have family in Richmond and have flown into PTB twice in the last 9 months. Both experiences were exceptional...Prompt, friendly service...Rental car on the ramp and help with bags. Great terminal facility and very competitive fuel prices. Spence and his team do a great job.

Nice airport with nice people- gas was as cheap as I've seen and they lent us a courtesy car for our lunch stop. Because of the hospitality (and the fuel price) we stopped again on our return trip, except this time weather forced us to spend the night. Once again, the courtesy car was offered to us for the entire evening. This will always be a stop when we are anywhere near.

From Pat Pinkston on 30-Apr-2008
Line staff were waiting for us, directed us to our parking spot, and had the plane tied down before we could unload our bags. The rental car was waiting on the ramp. New building and great staff. Thanks for a very pleasant experience!!

We could have been back in the air within 10 minutes if we had wanted to, but we lingered to enjoy the terminal building, Internet, etc. We could have borrowed a car and had lunch, but with 50-knot headwinds aloft, decided to depart for Atlanta.

From John C. Zinkus on 14-Nov-2007
If you are flying anywhere near PTB please stop in and you will be pleased with the outstanding line service and overall support from this airport. It is a pleasure to have PTB support general aviation with the best gas prices and line service that you can get. I am looking forward to visiting this airport again.

Great facility for a fuel stop. The fuel truck met me at the parking spot and the attendant was professional and courteous.

From R. Rucker on 04-Sep-2007
For the past nine (9) years I have flown into PTB 1-2 times each year from South Florida and have consistently found the assistance and service of the staff to be outstanding. The new terminal building is a significant improvement over the old building, although it seems harder to reach Potomac Approach on the ground using the GCO frequency than it did at the old terminal. Special thanks goes to Ed Walker (Lineman) for his dedicated work with transient pilots.

Great place for a fuel stop. Been there several times. Fast service with the fuel truck the fuel is cheap the staff is helpful. If you go for lunch, inquire about the produce market with the "best hotdogs in the state".

From Geoff Morsell on 07-Apr-2007
Arrived from Slidell LA for a fuel stop. The fuel truck arrived at our plane before my feet hit the pavement! Taxi to the front of the new brick building to avoid a long walk to the terminal, the signage could be improved to aid transient pilots looking for the FBO. The staff was great and went out of their way to get us a car when the crew car battery needed a charge. I did not catch the owner's name of the red pickup truck, but thank you for letting us use it. The pizza restaurant near the field is first rate and just makes the stop that much better! We will return; once again it was a great experience.

From Ed Randel on 09-Jan-2007
The employees at Dinwiddie are extremely helpful and friendly. The fuel is cheaper then the nearby airports, and there is a great Italian/pizza place less then 10 minutes from the airport. Great place to stop for gas and a bite to eat.
