Platteville is a very enjoyable stop. Friendly folks at the airport, courtesy car to head into town for the Owl Café. Very convenient. Nice airport.

I fly to PVB several times a year. Nice facility with a comfortable lounge. Snacks are available for sale on the honor system. Frequently they have had a courtesy car available, also on the honor system...(fuel it up before you return). I always add a little extra because it is cheaper than the cab service and I appreciate the availability of the car. Fuel is reasonably priced and convenient with the credit card pump. Plenty of ramp space but plan on bringing your own ropes. Some of the spaces have tiedown rings filled with loose asphalt and can be difficult to thread rope through especially in winter. You may have to swap spots to find a spot with clear anchors. Overall a great place to stop and close to town with courtesy car and plenty of restaurant choices.

I made a quick stop for fuel on the way to Montana from NC. Nice people and a good airport. They pumped the self-serve gas for me and got me a snack. Also good price.

Easy in and out after hours. Fuel pumps simple to use. Nice pilot lounge with snacks and pizza available for cash.

I made an evening stop at KPVB and things worked well. Self-serve pump was easy, airfield lighting was very good. Take a flashlight with you to the credit card machine, it's too dark to read without light. Another thing to watch out for is the fairly noticeable grade in the ramp, presumably for drainage which requires putting your parking brake on before you get out of the plane to fuel. Otherwise, a good fuel price ($4.80) and easy in and out.

Stopped by KPVB by car today and talked about Jim. We plan to move to the area. Platteville is the only choice we would consider.

Great service, much cheaper hangar fees than DBQ. Very friendly attendant, great easy access to self serve fuel. Any trip to that area, PVB is a must stop. Great airport!
