The bad experience started from the second we got out of the airplane lineman was rude; the front desk lady was the same. I will not use again unless I have to.

A thoroughly regrettable experience, apart from a reasonably nice lineman who had little experience. There must be no competition on the field, absentee ownership or both. Only in foul WX with no alternative will I return.

Your typical FBO when there is only 1 on the field. Called ahead on the phone and radio, CSR was rude from the beginning. Very high prices considering their run-down facilities. Asked for a lav service and was told that their lav service cart was broke, no apologies and no reduction in fee's for this major inconvenience. On a positive note, the linemen were very friendly and helpful. Wish someone would build another FBO on the field.

I went to PVD two times in the past two weeks; folks at Northstar were fine in providing me the service that I needed. I have a C172, and they always found space on their ramp to park me for the day. Ramp fee of $10 is waived when fuel is purchased. Landing fee is $5 and facility fee is another $5.

We had a great experience with Northstar. Upon arrival Dave who was very busy at the time greeted us nicely. Our passenger was delayed by USAir and heavy t-storms rolled in forcing us to stay an extra 4-5 hours in the comfy lounge. Dave had been up all night and sent us off with a smile.

$35 to park a Beech Sundowner for 90 minutes while we ate on 06/07/07. We didn't buy fuel, but that's REALLY high. Woman at the desk was essentially clueless, needed to figure out our charge while we were eating.

Parked at Northstar for about 2 hours in a C172 to have lunch with a friend and was charged $20. Not totally outrageous, but certainly not an average fee for such little time on the ramp.

Great service three times in the past 2 months! After reading all the other reviews, I was not sure what to expect but was more than pleasantly surprised. Each time I was quickly parked and went into the office, registered and was offered a ride to or from Hooters, etc. I'd say they got the message and are now doing a great job. The costs are about what I'd expect at this type of operation, nothing in aviation is reasonably priced! I'd say give them a second chance....

I am a Flight coordinator, and I have passengers that unfortunately have to use this FBO because there are no others. I have called this place numerous times in the morning to set up some services, and I am greeted by probably the most miserable people in the business. They make you feel like you are inconveniencing them whenever you call. Wish there was some competition on the field.

I flew into KPVD today at around noon and after taxi and several calls to Northstar, was finally answered and greeted by a lineman. I stopped in for approx. 10 minutes to use the bathroom and buy a soda from the vending machine and then was charged 20$. $20? For what? Using the can and parking my C172SP for less then 15 minutes? Nice to know Northstar seems to be gouging the little guy.

I have had great experiences with Northstar. But recently, I was going up with my friend, who rents an airplane at PVD. We called several times, by phone and radio. After an hour waiting on the ramp, we decided to cancel our flight because another person had to use the plane after us and we would have limited time in the air. When looking over in the distance, there were several corporate planes that looked like they needed refueling. There is one fuel truck to fill up the ramp; I didn't see it for one second. Maybe next time we will get fueled up quicker, much quicker.

Landed at PVD in route from ACK to CYSN to drop off my daughter so she could catch a commercial flight to PIT. There was no lineman to park me. A call to Unicom brought someone out who looked like he would rather be doing anything other than parking a single. The folks at the desk also looked like a customer was someone to be viewed as an annoyance. They did have a van to take my daughter to the airline terminal but otherwise the stop was most forgettable. Unless you need to be at that airport, others in the area are much more GA friendly.

I made 2 stops at PVD this week in our company Citation. The first was overnight $50 landing fee $75 parking, and $50 facility fee none waived with a 150 gallon fuel purchase @4.48 per gallon. Our Hertz Ford Tauras rental car was $101 for the day with all the fees. The second stop we were charged the same $175 in fees for a 15 minute passenger pickup. There are several alternative airports a very few miles away for my next stop.

Service was quick & friendly although the fuel price was $1.65 higher than nearby KWST. A lineman used the van to drop us off & pick us up from a nearby restaurant. Parking fee waived with fuel purchase but landing and facility fees were collected. No problem in recommending this FBO as a stop over place

I guess Northstar must have taken heed of the last comment submitted. I stopped over on 23 December for a turnaround from Essex County Airport and was greeted by the lineman after I called them on the ground. Once I was guided in to my parking spot, he asked me if I required servicing (100LL, of course) and immediately brought the fuel truck around. The CSR inside was friendly and, although busy, took the time to address my requests, which included making change for the candy machine and to give me an extra dollar after my choice got stuck in the machine. The pilot's lounge was nice, providing a shower facility and a treadmill for the pilot "on the run". Large sitting room with comfortable couches, a large-screen television with movies (Betamax... I thought they were extinct), and a separate DUATS pilot briefing room. A very convenient location at the approach end of Runway 23 and nice place to stopover.
