Two year follow up to first stay at PXE. If there were a 6 star rating I would use that. Great folks, nice facility and dog friendly. Plenty of free ramp space, VERY reasonably priced covered parking, transient hangar and fuel. Excellent coffee from Black Rifle Coffee Co.

Used PXE for a visit to Macon. I overflew my usual destination because the fuel prices at PXE were unbeatable. Due to our short stay, we were able to use one of the crew car, which also saved us the cost of a car rental. Very friendly team. We'll be back!

Everything an airport should be! I flew up to Perry for a business meeting and was met by the lineman with chocks as I taxied up. He ensured that my plane was fueled and asked if I needed a crew car - They have 3! Everyone I met was helpful and friendly. The facility was clean and well kept with a nice pilots lounge for resting. The fuel was cheap as well. Later that day when I was getting ready to depart I had a mag problem. It was late and the maintenance shop was closed, but the attendant called the local A&P at home and was told that my plane would be looked at first thing in the morning. I was given a crew car and directed to one of the many hotels conveniently located nearby. The next morning around sunrise, Tim Goddard started working on my plane and quickly and expertly fixed the problem. I highly recommend anyone flying across Georgia stop at Perry for fuel, maintenance and whatever else you need. Great people and great service!

Stopped on the way from Deland, FL. To Shelbyville Tn., great service and good coffee. On the way back I had to spend the night but no rental car and the FBO was closed. I spoke with Jim and he allowed me to rest and use the facilities at the airport. I left the next morning very early after enjoying a fresh cup of coffee, well rested. Made it back home 2 hours latter before the weather closed in. Thanks Jim and thanks PXE for the service.

Called a few days before checking on a rental car. Jim advised he would take care of us. My wife and I arrived and was met immediately by a golf cart. It was 100 degrees when we arrived and they immediately towed the aircraft out of the sun and under an open hangar where we left it for the weekend. Have been flying for many years and have never been treated with any more hospitality than here. GREAT STAFF!!!!! Super fuel price too. Can't say enough good things about the staff!

Flew in to pick-up a friend in a C-172 and pulled right up to the gate straight out from the FBO. Had no more than shut down my engine and was told I needed to move because a jet was landing in 20 minutes. Told the guy I was only picking up a passenger and would not be there long. My passenger was an elderly pilot and took a while to get motivated to get on board but as we were heading toward the plane the same guy said the jet was on downwind. I told him he needed to calm down. We had taxied to the hold line before the jet landed. These guys are jerks! They are running a public use airport and apparently don't want small planes in the way.Response from James Marquardt, Airport Manager, Perry Houston County Airport Authority Simply have to reply to Mr. Urash's message below. It is true he pulled 'right up to the gate' at the FBO, rather than parking in the designated aircraft parking. We offered to move or help move his aircraft to a designated parking space, but were told he was leaving momentarily. After 20 minutes, we again asked if we could help move his aircraft as a Citation was on downwind and we were concerned that jet exhaust, even while taxiing, would not be conducive to a C-172s well-being. Mr. Urash didn't seem to be upset at the time, and we certainly want to apologize for any perceived slight. The Houston-County Airport is home to 83 aircraft, all of which are 'small' planes, so we have a vested interest in keeping our general aviation pilots happy.
