Flew our Baron in to visit friends at Edisto Island. Service could not have been more hospitable. Nice clean FBO facility and a great runway/approach layout. Nice airport.

Great Service in every way, Went to Edisto Island for the week, called ahead got fuel prices, reserved a car and got a hangar for the week. All pricing was less than other airport in the area. In addition, Enterprise upgraded us to a SUV and we got hangared for the week for $50. We will be back

Nice stopping place. Had to land here unexpectedly due to Manning/Santee Cooper (KMNI) not having a functional fuel pump. Hot dogs, etc, free for the taking, very clean and easygoing staff. Fuel was $5.37 on a Saturday, with lots of Sun n Fun pilots flying through. I'll be back!

I'm sitting on the ground at RBW as this is typed. Sought refuge from some rain (ok, biblical TS really). Spotlessly clean, airy, computer works, snooze room, snacks, fuel, coffee, and the crew is grilling up some lunch to which I'm invited. As a native New Yorker traveling through NC, I sure have been made to feel most welcome. Nice group of folks at a good airport.

Decent place for a stop. I actually prefer full-serve fuel on enroute stops, as I like the plane to be fueled while I check weather, etc... I've stopped here twice between Florida and Connecticut, as it's right under my route. Beaufort is GREAT at opening clearances aloft! RBW has honor-system snacks and soda in the kitchen, the bathrooms were clean, and they have a real computer for weather. I hate WSI systems, greatly preferring access to DUATS and AOPA Online Planner. The only negative I saw other than self-serve fuel, is that the ground line was broken for one fuel pump and only one aircraft could fuel at a time. A NICE rolling stair was provided for fueling high-wings.

I stopped here today for fuel and lunch. One of the self-service pumps does not shut off when you release the handle so I put a pint or two of 100LL on the flight line (and in the open door of my Cessna). When I mentioned it, the guy at the desk said, "Oh yea, we know about that." I felt like asking, "then why don't you put a sign on the pump?" The crew car is a city-owned, dilapidated, dirty sedan and I had to put $5 in fuel in order to make sure I didn't run out of gas on the way to lunch. When I mentioned it, the attitude was sort of "OK, thanks." The bottom line is that the fuel is not the cheapest in the area but certainly not the most expensive either. It was a good stop because of the number of hotels close to the airport and I thought I might have to spend the night for weather. All in all, I likely wouldn't avoid it, but I wouldn't seek it out either.

Nice low-key airport. Taxi was somewhat hard to find as one of the taxi services (Ellen) was out of town for the Easter weekend. Used Praize Taxi at 843-635-5633. He came right out. Ellen taxi service # is 843-635-4854. Enterprise rent a car # is 843-549-6514.

We selected RBW as our stop for our tour of Charleston on Sunday March 29 because of very high gusting surface winds and RBW has three runways. Unicom promptly updated us on the winds. The self serve pumps worked fine. RBW has a nice clean terminal building and restrooms. Because we purchased fuel there was no charge for tie down the five days we were there. We elected to take a taxi over to Hampton Inn in Waterboro for the first night and get the Enterprise rent car the next morning. Great place to stop.
