First time into RDU. Dede behind the desk was great. Got a discount on gas for helping them test their new card reading system. Gas is crazy expensive here, but the FBO and GA terminal are very nice. You had me at the free slushee.

After using Landmark for the last year over and over, I feel a comment on AirNav is in order. They have NEVER failed to take care of me. CSR's Sue and DeDe and all of the line guys are top notch. It is not unusual to get "'rock star" parking for my 182 if the volume warrants. It is nice to know these folks on a first name basis at a busy Class C airport. Thanks!

Always have had excellent service @ Landmark RDU; however, our last visit they didn't bother pushing the snow and let it melt down and freeze. Not one area on the ramp had been touched. It was bad enough I had to say something. It looks like they bet on it melting and lost.

First time flying into RDU and the staff at Landmark were great. Line service to marshall you in to park (even for a Piper Seminole), prompt fueling, a nice flight planning room, and friendly service (both line and front desk). The slushy machine and free popcorn were icing on the cake! Thanks for the two quick turns this past week!

Just to say thank you for the fine care of our flying machine over the years. Fuel is delivered when asked, plane is put away properly, the staff ******.

I visit RDU about 1-2 times / month. I fly a Mooney M20C. Landmark has consistently met my needs (a secure tie-down, fuel, rental car, sometimes crew car when weather has me stuck, etc.) Posted fuel is expensive, but that is typically the only charge. For the service, it is well worth it. Landmarks at other airports could learn from this group!

I stopped at Landmark in my C182 last week to refuel. I bought about 50 gallons of LL100 and tried to make a quick turn to head down to Atlanta. After refueling, I inadvertently ran the battery down and needed a GPU. Landmark's policy is that they will not give a jump to recips. As a result, they called TAC Air next door. TAC Air gladly came over and jumped the plane despite the fact that I did not even buy fuel from them! All my business will be at TAC Air in the future.

To expound on Mr. Crenshaw's post, it is my understanding that the $0.50 / gal weekend discount applies to Avgas only and not to Jet A. Make sure you call ahead if you are expecting such discount on your Jet A. I am a former base customer with TAC Air (the other FBO) and fly a corporate plane some currently based at Landmark. Having experienced both, Landmark is hands down the better of the two. Across the board, Landmark is expensive, but just tell the CSRs what you need and what you'd like done, and typically you can work a deal. This is rarely the case at TAC Air, if you can even get them to perform the services you ask for.

Landmark provided excellent and very friendly service to us when we brought our Archer in for the night. They treated us as if we were one of the big jets. The weekend fuel discount of $0.50 makes their fuel prices reasonable. Can't wait to return to Landmark RDU.

I'll be honest. For those of you who have to pay your own fuel, facility, parking fees, I typically avoid Landmark at other airports. They tend to higher than most FBO's. However, at RDU, Landmark gave me a quoted price of $10 to park a Cessna R182 for the day, before I arrived. Not bad. And they will work with you, depending on how much, or how little services you need.

Typical Landmark: seeing the previous comment ("there are no facility fees to force you to buy gas at their obscene prices") I called ahead to check. Turns out that's not correct: it's a $30 fee or 20 gallons of $6.00 gas. Landmark: you've made an enemy of me by doing this at RDU and a lot of other formerly-great FBOs that you've acquired.

Landmark is a great facility. The fuel is higher than most places I buy, but there are no fees to force to you purchase and the facilities and personnel are superb.

Hertz rental car was waiting next to my ramp parking spot when I arrived in my twin Cessna. The minimum fuel amount to waive the ramp fee is reasonable, and the fuel price was slightly less than posted. Great service.

Flew my experimental in and spent several days. The folks at Landmark treated me very well, even though I was the smallest plane there. A real testimony to their customer service. Would not hesitate to use them in the future.

I just had to tell everyone about the fantastic customer service staff at Landmark in Raleigh. Even though all I bring in is my Mooney, I have always received exceptional treatment from everyone--especially the gals at the front desk and the linemen. I have to personally commend Elizabeth at the front desk for outstanding customer service. I called before I took off and asked if a crew car might be available for my wife and I to get something to eat. She brightly responded that it should be no problem and for us to give an "in-range" call. When I taxied in to park I had two linemen already in place for my "no-tow" parking spot...AND A CREW CAR PARKED RIGHT NEXT TO MY SPOT WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING WAITING FOR US! I could go on, but Landmark really topped themselves...Elizabeth you are fantastic! Great job, Landmark!

I flew a Saratoga in on Wednesday 8/19 to drop off the visiting grandkids to catch an airliner back to the west coast. The place was busy so the general manager, Jim McNeill, himself, drove us over to the main terminal. He even made a loop around the terminal while I said my good byes before returning me to my airplane. What great service. Dede at the desk was equally friendly. When the GM sets the example of taking on lineman duties when the place is jammed up, it make for a first class operation. They parked me next to a Citation X and I feel that I got the same level of service.

I arrived on an Angel Flight on Monday (7/27). First, if you are arriving to RDU in the rain, be sure to note that 23L looks very different from 23R. 23L (which is the runway that you will use if you are private aircraft) is black pavement, so when it is poor visibility (especially after rain) then it is hard to visually pick up from air. On the contrary, 23R is white concrete, and it stands out. It would be very easy to mistake that 23R is actually 23L. Landmark gave a great (and much appreciated) Angel Flight discount, and the lady at the front desk was great.

Landmark did a superb job of helping me get my passenger from Landmark to the Jet Blue terminal for a flight to Boston. I called Landmark before my departure, told them what time I would be landing at RDU and that I was running late, could they have transportation ready for us when I got there, Sue said no problem we will have a car out on the tarmac when you arrive, sure enough as soon as I shut my engines down a crew car came around and I was able to get my daughter to the terminal with time to spare. Great job Sue, thanks for your help.

Flew into RDU for customs and fuel on a Sunday. Customs went out of their way to meet me on the weekend with little prior notice. My little Lancair was given front row, customs was done in 30 seconds and I was fueled in minutes. The entire time jets and other aircraft were being handled and the place was buzzing. I was treated just like everyone else and I felt the fuel price was consistent with the high level of staffing, great facilities and ability to combine fuel and customs. I would come back to this airport/FBO and I really appreciated the great customer service from all 4-5 people I interacted with. Landmark got it right at RDU.

This is definitely the place to go at RDU. They have way more creature comforts than the other guys and over-all better facilities. The people are super nice and attentive.
