I tied down at Redlands for a night while getting service at Bobby's. When I returned I found a threatening letter attached to my plane, saying it was an eyesore and they are going to tow it (it is mint condition, and I had it tied down next to a whole lot of aircraft in various late stages of un-airworthy decay). A week later I got a bill in the mail for a whole months worth of tiedown fees.

I flew a Christen Eagle out of Redlands from 1989-1995 does anyone remember Dennis Brown from that time. A great acro pilot and instructor.

I have flown in for business twice in the last month. Very clean terminal facility, 24-hr self serve pumps is user friendly, fuel prices seem to be the lowest in the area, and staff is helpful. Lots of student activity but not a nuisance at all. Winds get a bit gusty in the afternoon. And use caution landing 26 as the runway noticeably slopes downhill to the West. Made for an 'adventurous' landing on my first visit! Overall very positive experience. I will continue to use Redlands for my Inland Empire base.

Stopped in for lunch nearby. Transient tie downs are at the FBO at east end of field. No charge for quick stop. Manager provided directions to local restaurants.
