The Wife and I flew in just to check out the scenery and the Burger Basket just because of AirNav comments, we were not disappointed, Ralf is a super nice man that gave us some car keys and directions, beautiful mountains and town, hope to return. Also was told these cars can be rented for overnight stay.

Friendliest FBO ever. Jimmy loaned us a courtesy car to get to local restaurants. Great scenery flying into this airport. My flying buddy said this was a real "GEM" of an airport.

Flew into Andrews from Chattanooga for the infamous $100 hamburger. Was met at the plane by Jimmy who got us a car with little wait and sent us on our way. The Burger Basket is a mom and pop restaurant with seating indoors (about 8 tables) or outdoors on the deck or under a shelter. The burgers were great. I will be back in November weather permitting. This stop is a definite must, the staff is great and the views are to die for. Thanks Andrews.

Landed just after closing but was helped tie down and provided a ride from plane to FBO. He also waited with us until our ride arrived. Great FBO and great service in a beautiful area.

After reading comments about what a great place this is, I decided to find out for myself. The approach was unbelievable flying up the valley through a sea of red and gold leaves in the Smokeys and the lady at the FBO told us about a place called "The Burger basket". One of the best burgers I've ever had. Well worth the trip and a must "fly to" place if you're in the southeast. Don't miss out on this gem of a stop. I'll be back often!!

Very friendly and cordial staff. Loaned us a car and suggested lunch at The Burger Basket. Absolutely the best burger and home fries I've ever had! The friendly blond at the counter told us she was 40 years old and never been in an airplane, so somebody get on over there and take her up!

What a great airport in a beautiful mountain setting. Runway is long and in a valley, so landings are easy. Flew my wife and daughter there for lunch. We borrowed the courtesy car and went to the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) and ate at the Riverside Restaurant. What a great place with outdoor dining right on the river that offers white water rafting. The airport also has a picnic table on top of the FBO, which has outstanding views of the surrounding mountains. They also have a cabin up in the hills that include a courtesy car. This airport is a unique discovery!! Line staff is very friendly - enjoy Western N.C.

What a great airport, with a great ground crew. I'm building time for my commercial license. So my girlfriend and I made a day trip from Cincinnati to Andrews on Saturday. Despite being busy dealing with a missing airplane and another with a bent wheel from bouncing down the runway the crew at Smoky Mountain Aero gave me the first class service often missing at bigger fields. Ever had someone give you the confused look when you ask, "Can you fill the tanks to the tabs?" Not here! Ever have someone ask for your credit card when you ask, "Do you have a car available for a short trip into town?" Nope, not here either. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a bite at the Mountainside Diner. The food is to die for! Awesome!

Smokey Mountain Aero is about the friendliest FBO's you could come across. Dan, Ralph, and Jennifer are always glad to see you and help with your plane or trip details. The stop at Andrews is always a pleasure. I highly suggest a stop over at Andrews for some old time charm.

My daughter and I decided to fly into RHP for a nice lunch at the Cole House Restaurant. John at airport who fueled the plane and parked it while we borrowed the crew car for a 2.5-mile trip to the Cole House for a delightful lunch greeted us. About an hour later we were fed (both passengers and plane) and headed home. If you are looking for a nice place to spend that $100 hamburger then Andrews-Murphy is an excellent choice and you can't do better than the Cole House Restaurant. By the way the scenery is breathtaking! Have a safe and blessed trip.
