Diverted to ROA due to dense ground fog at BCB. Great Service. Had expected to leave that night - but weather at destination was unacceptable. Remained overnight with fog and 26 degree temps so the next morning the plane was a flying popsicle. Landmark put the plane in the heated hangar for 15 minutes to deice at no charge. Facility is good but being upgraded. Free computer w/Internet, coffee, etc. Bought 7 gallons to meet their minimums. Great service and given the alternatives (like could not get into BCB) a bargain!

Our total Landmark experience for Labor Day weekend was exceptional from arrival to motel shuttle to fueling and departure help. Great people at a great facility! Many thanks!

Great services! Linemen were quick to chock the wheels, set cones around the plane and helped my Bride off the wing. We made a stop for fuel and cold drinks for the last two hour ride home. Friendly service, very nice facility, and very nice young lady working the desk. Oh can't forget the lineman that could do stand up, great job Landmark!

Stopped in for an overnight in our Baron between Boston and Houston. Encountered great service and very friendly atmosphere. We will definitely plan on returning during our next trip in the area.

Planned to go into Blacksburg (BCB), but half their runway is under construction - only 2000' of R12 is useable. Given the heat (96°), tail winds of 6 kts, and the fact I would be near max load when I picked up my passenger, I diverted to ROA and had the passenger meet me there. Lineman was waiting and friendly. Ken couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I didn't need fuel, but happily paid a $5 fee to be there 45 minutes. Nice, clean facilities and Ken even made us fresh popcorn! Will definitely go back.

Stopped in at Landmark for a few hours yesterday. Hila went so far out of her way to provided service and hospitality that I doubled my fuel order as a small thanks. Thank you Landmark!

As a new GA pilot, I looked forward to flying in to ROA to take my elderly mother for her first ride in a private aircraft. She's got mobility issues, so it was a challenge to get her to and from the plane as well as into and out of it. The staff at Landmark was quite kind and helpful. I could tell they were enjoying this "first" as much as Mom and myself. In addition to efficient refueling and tie down, they assisted me with getting my mother in and out of the plane and across the tarmac. One staffer made a great photo, now posted on Facebook for the enjoyment of our family. Visiting Landmark was a great experience; I look forward to returning soon.

Since writing my previous comment, Landmark contacted me and told me an error had been made in my charges and refunded $13 dropping my overnight total to $36. Landmark has since adjusted their single engine fees. First night: $10 facility fee + $5 ($15 total for one night); thereafter $5 each subsequent night. The $10 facility fee will be waived with a minimum 7 gallon purchase, but one still pays the overnight $5 fee even with the fuel purchase.

In for overnight stay with our Turbo Commander N900NE. All needs met here. Nice lobby for pax and crew. Thanks folks. Well done.

Friendly folks at Landmark, but the $25 "facility fee" will prevent me from landing at ROA until lifted. Fee is waived if you buy the most expensive gas in 100nm radius.

From Gus Hertz on 13-Apr-2010

The people at Landmark ROA are just as nice as they can be, but be aware that this is a very expensive place to spend the night. My Mooney cost me $13 for the overnight (not waived with fuel purchase) and then Landmark was going to add on the $25 "facility fee", but told me that would be waived if I'd buy 7 gallons of fuel. I don't remember what the fuel cost, but an overnight and the minimum fuel purchase cost me $49. I didn't need the fuel, but was forced to buy it or pay $39 total for just an overnight. As a comparison, my wife and I overnighted at GKT, CRE, SSI, and W45 and never paid anything close to these fees. At St. Simons we got put in a hangar for about half what ROA charged for just a tiedown and we weren't forced to buy avgas.

Joe at Landmark FBO was a life saver. We arrived having to divert around weather and came in with ice on our wings. Our plane was promptly put in a hangar to deice as we looked for another way home to NC. We finally conceded to the ice and Joe made multiple phone calls to help us find a car rental for the night. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating! Joe even worked past his closing time to help us out. Great experience (less the ice!)

4-28-09 was at ROA on business. The staff at Landmark Aviation was excellent, prompt and very friendly. Would highly recommend landmark for stopovers. ATC at ROA was the same, very helpful getting in and out of the area......Would describe them as a team of professionals. Only down side are the high fuel prices.

Stopped here overnight in our N900NE Turbo Commander and had the best service and friendly staff, with a great lounge area.
