Excellent service! Although they are the only FBO on the field, I strongly recommend Landmark. The price of fuel was a bit steep, but the staff was extremely helpful. The facilities are nothing special, but they have a pretty comfortable pilot lounge.

Landmark is maintaining its status as a very good FBO. Their line and office staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. Except for the fuel prices, this is a good place to stop.

Great FBO. Flew here in my Cessna 182 President's Day weekend in February. Ended up keeping the plane there 3 days. I did not need any fuel (short flight from EQY), and I did not use any of their services, such as courtesy car. They did not charge anything for parking fees this trip! This was great, especially for Class C, considering many places stiff you for $15 a day or more, even if you use no services; just borrow some tarmac.

Landed at ROA late afternoon on 21 December. As I've experienced in the past, service was excellent. I was directed to parking immediately in front of the building and the airplane refueled as we unloaded. The CSR at the desk processed my credit card and had us on our way in a matter of minutes. The next afternoon the fuel ticket was ready when we returned to the airport. A GPU was attached before the airplane was completely loaded and we were taxiing with no delay. Landmark definitely understands the concept of service.

Still a great place to go, wonderful service, excellent staff. They make it a joy to fly in and out of Roanoke.

What a great place to land!! The ladies behind the counter were so nice as was everyone in Virginia that I met! The car wasn't available when I got there, so they drove me down the street to get some food at the Red Robin, which was excellent by the way! I couldn't believe how polite the staff was there too! Are all Virginias that nice?? That's the impressions that I had on this trip. I definitely recommend stopping here. I will tell the others back at school when they take their XCs to go here! Like I said, everyone was soooo nice!! :) I will be back.

Great experience. Lineman parked us right in front of the terminal doors, then when we were ready to leave, they brought the plane back to in front of the door (Archer), even though a Gulfstream was expected shortly (and didn't try to park us out of the way of the "big jet"). Thanks again!

I am surprised there are not more comments since my last. Landmark Aviation is a great place. Though Rita is now gone and missed, all the staff is friendly and helpful. There is a great lounge, good computer access, including a wireless network, adequate pilot supplies and clean bathrooms. Rumor has it that Landmark has been bought by a company that does not want to run FBOs. Time will tell what changes will occur, but for now this is a friendly place (not the place for fuel, however, unless you are rich).

Always friendly service. Rita is the greatest.

Great, friendly service and people at Landmark. Stopped here due to weather, was directed to parking and tie down quite near the FBO; the airplane was fueled quickly (and with care for this old C-172). Rita provided most friendly assistance in obtaining affordable lodging; we had use of crew car overnight (Saturday, ate well at a great Thai restaurant in downtown Roanoke). Excellent facility with full WSI weather services plus wireless for your own laptop. We received the same friendly service as the KingAir, Citation, and Gulfstream crews.

Although fuel prices are high, the service and the facility are excellent. We were directed to parking directly in front of the terminal and the lineman was familiar with how to properly fuel and tow an MU-2. The next morning the airplane was in the same spot, correctly fueled and a GPU connected without me having to request it (this is a nice service that I haven't experienced at any other FBO). Their level of service definitely makes the fuel price easier to accept.

Flew into ROA this morning in a C-152 for some cross country and Class C time. Lineman came right out and directed me to a parking spot only about 50 feet from the terminal. Didn't catch her name, but the lady behind the counter was also very helpful and friendly. Terminal is outstanding. Will definitely come back again! Thanks, Landmark!

Stayed for an overnight. Nice lounge with wireless internet. No pilot supplies (maps, approach plates, etc). Bought 50 gallons of 100LL and paid more than anywhere else on the planet. Then, they charged me for the preheat in the morning. It is what it is.

Response from Cathy Ware, Landmark Aviation
In reference to Chris Healy, he stated that we have "no pilot supplies". This is incorrect; we do carry a full compliment of charts, approach plates, sectionals, facility directories as well as logbooks, and other pilot gift items. You can ask for the charts with the front desk staff, and we have a beautiful display case in the hallway off the lobby full of other items. Please feel free to stop in anytime, we are always happy to help you with any of your pilot supplies or Nav. charting needs!
