Parked at USAirports in a CJ1 on a Thursday evening just before some bands of moderate snow were to hit the area. The linecrew had us fueled and put in the hangar fairly quickly considering how busy they were at the time. The staff is very polite, pleasant to deal with, and were willing to help negotiate a better hangar rate since we were only there for a few hours (and bought fuel). When our passenger finally arrived, we found that a small amount of snow had melted and re-freezed the fan blades. Todd and the other line service techs quickly pulled the airplane back into the hangar, assisted us with removing the ice, and got us pulled back out and on our way in no time at all. You may pay a little more here, but the service is second to none! Thank you!

Stayed overnight 8/7 for a wedding. As anticipated, the fees were just over $52 for a Mooney (landing 2.75, handling 36.27, 13.39 parking). Although the handling fee would be waived with a 20 gallon purchase, their price was $1.70/g higher than home drome and the math didn't work). Given none of the satellite airports had rental cars on a Sunday, this was the most reasonable option. Line service marshaled us in from the taxiway and asked if we needed any services. Facility was definitely in need of refresh/refurb although bathrooms were clean. Both line and Counter staff were pleasant. Hertz left our car at the FBO and the Hertz manager met us on arrival to complete the paperwork. Upon arrival for departure on the 8th, found the plane pushed back to the edge of the ramp in standing water. Was able to move myself to a dry spot for preflight and loading. In summary, not a bad experience, but would expect MUCH more for the fees.

What a dump and a horrible first impression for GA traveling to KROC. You pay a landing fee, ramp fee and a high price for 100LL... For this???

The line staff and the desk staff were very friendly. The fees are a little crazy. I called ahead to check fees. I was told $35 handling (waived with 20 gallons) and a landing fee of $10. In the end, they charged me an additional $10 parking fee because I was there longer than 4 hours. So landing, plus handling plus parking plus $6.22 fuel. Oh, and to put the plane in the hangar for 5 hours, they quoted $235. This airport clearly needs a second FBO. Monopolies result in this type of experience.

I got in touch with the airport management and the management of US Airports. OK let’s give them credit for resolving my prior comments. After a very brief conversation, they resolved the fee issues and proved that being a volunteer and rescuing animals is something worthwhile. My thanks to US Airports for their support on this past mission and their invitation for the future missions!

Landed at KROC on an animal rescue mission with 17 dogs on board. Met by the representatives of a no kill shelter who accepted them. As soon as everyone left I got slammed by a $70 landing and handling fee. The line service stood and watched the whole time and did nothing. Fuel was over $6.00 a gallon, are you kidding me. We will let everyone in the rescue community to stay far away from KROC

Enough with the fees already. My Skyhawk was on the ramp for 2 hours and I got hit with their $36 "handling fee". $10 landing fee. The girl at the counter was great and arrange for my rental car quickly. I rented a small car for $35 for the day.

I called to check about their fees. $36 ramp fee waived with 20 gallons of their overpriced ($6/gal vs. $4.50 elsewhere) gas. I asked about waiving the fees since I was doing an animal rescue flight through pilot and paws and I'd have to send my "paperwork" to their vice president for approval. I do a lot of rescue flights and angel flights too and this is a pretty poor way to support people volunteering their time and trying to support general aviation. Do us all a favor and take your business to one of the other local outlying airports and maybe this FBO will get a clue when they realize their business is going elsewhere. Oh I forgot to mention the $9 landing fee.

Fees + fees + fees + $5.65 100LL = $$$ We stayed over night and considering that these guys are the only FBO in town they can pretty much get away with charging ridiculous prices. They're more interested in the private jet traffic instead of the smaller GA guys like us. I'd recommend flying into an alternate airport unless you're willing to pay $35/night. Did I mention they charge fees?

Flew into ROC last weekend for a family visit in Rochester. Very convenient airport and easy in and out. As expected for New York, pretty expensive to land there, refuel and park for a few days. One accepts that and moves on. What was not acceptable is that I was charged ~ $34 to have air put in the main gear tires (DA 40). This is a maintenance job at US Airports, not a line job as at most other places. Nice people there and reasonable service but charging for air is over the top.

Four of us flew to KROC today in my Piper Saratoga to attend a business meeting in the city. The airport is nice, taxiways are simple to follow. The FBO greeted us nicely, they did not move our plane (it was at the same place), and the facilities are clean and comfortable. They called a cab for us, too. I can give 9 out of 10 on the scale for this FBO. The only unpleasant thing is the $12.9 landing fee (no ramp fee was charged since we bought 30 gallons of 100LL, even though it was more expensive than elsewhere), but they also need to make money on something ;) I can recommend this airport and FBO. Thank you!

My recent visit in my Mooney incurred a $9.06 landing fee, $21.43 for the overnight, and I purchased 38g of fuel at $5.60. No waiving of any fees. Overall, a very mixed experience. The airport is great for GA operations, with the GA area nicely separated from the big jets. Lots of instrument approaches. The people who work at the FBO were terrific, very nice and very helpful. But the facilities are, well, in need of updating. No showers, just a tiny bathroom, and a dumpy lounge. And those fees! I stopped during the LPGA championship, and the place should have been teeming with biz jets. But hardly an airplane of any size was in sight. There are much better GA options in the region.

On April 13 we purchased 20 gallons of fuel for Skylane N756VH (Condair Flyers, Inc. Flying Club at KALB). A friendly staff provided a crew car and recommendations for our brief visit and lunch. The costs for fuel and landing seem typical for an (busy) airport serving a metropolis of this size. We were not charges a ramp fee. I would return to this FBO again.

My comments are pretty similar to the other posts. I dropped my daughter off to visit friends and got hit for $12 for NY State tax (which is not a real surprise) plus a $34 'FBO handling fee'. All that handling consisted of putting a chock on the nose wheel. The counter staff was friendly but couldn't wave the handling fee because management doesn't allow it. I could have bought 20 gallons of fuel, but at $1.92 per gallon premium over my usual fill-up airport, would have cost almost $40 to try and save $34. I can't recommend a place where the only handling they do is the 2 minutes it takes to run my credit card.

Stopped in a piston single engine to pick up pax to go sightseeing, flew around for an hour and dropped them back off. Get through the fence so I could pick up/drop off people. We did not use their facilities and were on their ramp for 15 minutes total. $30.00 ramp fee + two $8.00 landing fees. Total bill for them doing nothing = $46.00+tax. Line guys were polite and professional, desk staff was not. USAirports is the only gig in town, too bad. Unfortunately, this has always been my experience w/USAirports. I will go way out of my way to avoid them in the future.

Parked at ROC for the day to visit preemie grandkids...No other practical choice. Line service was fast and efficient, pleasant and helpful, despite other experiences on this site. They waived the parking fee, even though I only bought 10 gallons, since I topped up my small tanks (Grumman Tiger). The lineman even made a playful joke that Grumman owners are as odd as their airplanes (true!) I used to live in Rochester, and it is a typical New York State town.... Expensive taxes everywhere. So the airport is no different. It's New York.... Get over it! They have a lot of money tied up in snow clearing gear........ ;-) Landing fee is a County fee, not an FBO fee.

Cleared US Customs on my way home from CYTZ. Bill for 15 minutes on ramp.... $42.46. $12.46 landing fee and $30.00 ramp fee. If you buy at least 20 gals. @ 5.56/gal. Fees waived. Next time, I'll clear Customs elsewhere.

Came in on a Sunday morning for a luncheon meeting on the RIT campus. Prices and fees were as advertised (a bit high but it's the only game in town). Sarah behind the desk was cheerful and very helpful - arranged for a shuttle to and from campus (a pleasant and unexpected surprise that helped offset the cost).

We just spent 2 nights here with our RV-7A and in general were very satisfied with their service. Parking is at their main terminal and tiedowns are about a half-mile away, but their line folks shuttled us back and forth and it was a non-issue. Lineman and customer service was just fine. Granted fuel is pricey. Our tiedown fee was $25 for the stay plus a $5.00 landing fee.

I parked my C182 with USAirports East facility (the one GA Aircraft are expected to use) and had a good experience. No tie-downs, but they did triple chock the airplane. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the only extra fee I got on my gas bill was from the airport, not the FBO! ($10.21 Landing Fee).

Landed my Cessna 172 at ROC two weeks ago. Gusty winds. They wanted me to park my C172 on wide ramp by the FBO. There are expensive jets parked everywhere. Since there are NO tie-downs available on the ramp, I asked by radio if I could park in the wide-open tie down area, they said yes. I thought I was being helpful since I did all the work. When I departed they advised me that there was a $25/day additional charge for using the tie downs! I guess they are content in leaving your plane out on the open ramp where the wind could cause some real $$$ expensive damage! I was upset that they charged me (without prior notice) for simply putting a rope on my plane and preventing a serious hazard. RIP OFF Fee!

A couple of changes have occurred since my last visit - USAirports now provide service out of the east facility on the GA ramp, and the landing fee has been raised to $10.38 (I assume by the county). If I counted correctly, there were seven line employees on the ramp when I arrived which could perhaps go some way to explain the $5.23/gal. For 100LL! Despite a request not to do so, they overfilled a tank and expelled fuel onto the ground through the vent. On the positive side, the overnight ramp fee was waived with the fuel purchase.
