I didn't buy gas on the recommendations below. But the FBO was great, well stocked with charts and treats. People were friendly. The wind was howling, thankfully right down the rwy.

High priced fuel considering location, service, etc. Tried to charge me tie-down for 3 nights after purchasing $350 of avgas.

The attendant was good, but the fuel was high priced and the pilot lounge was crap. But it is a place to land...

Quick service and friendly people. Interesting facility and looks to be a good place for maintenance if you needed it. They are maintaining SEVERAL Twin Cessna’s on charter. Would stop again if through the area....

(AARRGG!!! AirNav doesn't have enough room for my original glowing commendation, so I'll have to summarize.) Jerry went above and beyond the call of duty by lining up lodging for us, staying late for our arrival, having the Suburban crew "car" waiting, and helping with our departure the next day. When the IO-540 wouldn't turn over, he called Dave to come out and take a look. After a few minutes with a voltmeter, Dave tightened up a connection on the solenoid, and had the problem fixed quickly. He then refused to accept any kind of payment for such a simple fix. In my entire three-week cross country (CA-NM-TX-NC-NY-IL-WY-CA), this was by far the best customer service I received at ANY facility I visited (including a few that were much more expensive). I'll definitely be back.

Good cross-country stop. Friendly staff. They still have the big Suburban SUV courtesy car. I drove into town and had a burger at the local watering hole -- not that great.

I frequently fly a helicopter back and forth from WY to CA So I know most of the FBO's. In between and with out a doubt France’s is a joy to fly into. I've been weather in several times in Rawlins so I know their great service from a car to hangar usage. Last time I was there Jerry even met me at 5:30 on Sunday morning to make sure there wasn't any thing I might need last minute. That's service..

Time runs a little slower here. The Diet Cokes in the airport vending machine expired in 2004; the Diet Cokes at the Conoco expired in 2005. We arrived just before a big T-storm. The guys at the airport helped us rush our R44 helicopter into a hangar. We were given local advice and the Suburban courtesy SUV. The mechanic here keeps a Cessna 421 in the air, so he must be pretty good.

I love this FBO. The Days Inn and the Lodge are both within walking distance (1 mile or so). I called ahead and France put the keys of the crew car on the visor so that I could drive to town when I arrived after hours. There is free wireless internet access in the rooms at the lodge. Use it before you head to the airport since there is virtually no weather station or any kind of flight planning room at the FBO.

Same like last year...super people. Use the Days Inn and either the "airport" or "corporate" discount. Gail and I got a room on Saturday for $40. Heck of a deal.

Blew a jug and was forced down on the dragstrip at Hanna 40 miles east on the way home from Oshkosh '04. Sheriff gave me a ride to Rawlins. The owners half loaned/half rented me the airport truck for four days, loaned me engine fixin' tools, did the legwork to find and have sent a serviceable jug, and the mechanic came out to help me put it on. A nicer bunch of people do not exist.

We diverted to Rawlins due to turbulence. The courtesy given us by Candy and the rest of the FBO staff was excellent. We were given a courtesy car, tie down and recommendation for an outstanding dinner at the Blake House. We would definitely go back. Watch the Density altitude (10,800 when we landed) but the runway is long.
