Can't beat it! Easy to use, a little hard to find, but once you get past the FedEx ramp, you're golden! Cheap & Easy!

Called the phone number posted listed on the pump to verify the price, since the pump said $5.49, and AirNav said $5.69. I got a nice recording saying I would be contacted promptly, but so far, no call back. The AirNav price ($5.69) was what I was actually charged, even though the pump said $5.49.

I'm scheduled for a personal flight on 11/24 in a rental plane (C172). Can you park at the self-serve area for a few hours? Any gate access in and out? Where is it located? Near former Savannah Aviation on far SE side down from Signature?

Anyone flying in to KSAV will save a lot of money using the SS pump. I made the mistake of parking at the Signature ramp and going inside the FBO during a round robin training flight in July 2007. I did not need fuel. I was informed by Signature personnel that there was a $60 landing fee or I had to purchase 30 gallons of fuel at approx. $5.50 a gallon. I bought the 30 gallons. That was an expensive stop. I like Savannah but will have to find another airport that does not charge a $60 landing fee. If you only need fuel and don't need a restroom or something to drink the Chevron SS is reasonable.

I had chance to fly in to SAV again recently and decided to try the self-serve pump again. This time success! I'm happy to report that ground control graciously directed me to it, the price was as posted, and all went smoothly. I'd recommend it to anyone flying into SAV.

I called both numbers listed on 2-28-07: left message on the landline, and got no response. Called the listed cell phone number and found is is "not in service." I flew in during the rain on 3-1, and in no mood to gamble on whether service was in fact, operational- I settled on Signature. If you want customers, you better be a little more service oriented, and return a call or provide a valid cell number!
