They tried to charge me a 25 cent per/gal sur-charge on top of their already high price to pay for their failure to simply post a warning, required by a law suit, about the dangers of 100LL. They're being sued until they post the warning. Sounds like they're trying to make their problem our problem! I will just get fuel somewhere else.

I flew into KSBA on an Angel Flight and used Signature. They were very helpful and waived our parking fee and gave a $1.00 off discount on our fuel. Gave us a ride to nearby golf course after our patient was taken care of and picked us up as well. Very happy with the staff.

Flew in this weekend in our Cheyenne - decided to try Signature. Lineman directed us to parking and set the chocks. Beverly and Denise took care of everything inside and arranged for a ride to the Hertz building while my pax had cookies and water bottles in the comfortable lobby. Despite the continuous flow of jet customers, I was treated very well. "Handling fee" ($110) waived with 70 gal; no weekend discounts on the rather expensive Jet A. But good service and very reasonable overnight tie down fee. Stacy had everything ready to go on my arrival back to the FBO today and they returned the Hertz car for me. MUCH better prices (and service) than Atlantic, where they don't seem to care about business from a lowly turboprop.......

Well, perhaps today was an off day for the Signature staff, but my experience was so-so at best. Flew in for the day with some friends and there were no linemen to guide us (not a big deal). The person at the counter didn't seem very eager to offer us much help, so we headed off to find our own way around Santa Barbara. They did have tasty cookies in the lobby though (a nice bonus after a long flight). The ramp fee was waived since we purchased fuel.

I tell you my experience at Signature at KSBA could not have been better. The people are so friendly. They waived the "Handling charge" with only 7 gallons of fuel purchased and loaned me a crew car, gave me local directions and I had the use of their facilities. I won't go anywhere else when I travel to Santa Barbara.

Filled up with gas at the self-serve, and was looking for transient parking. Ground sent me over to Signature. No line attendant, so I parked my plane as far away from the door as possible out of courtesy to "customers." Walked in and asked if there was a restaurant. Counter person asked for my tail number, and told me of the $29 "handling fee!" I told her she's got to be kidding, but wasn't going to argue. NOBODY TOUCHED MY PLANE!! $29 is a stiff price to ask for food directions. She was decent enough to ask her boss if they could waive it...Which they did. BEWARE...There is NO FREE PARKING ANYWHERE ON KSBA! Fuel up at MAG self serve, and be on your way!

At first glance Signature was a good FBO. Both my passenger and myself called ahead about fees for our one night stay and were told that the parking fee was waived with fuel purchase. When I went to pay, the $15 parking fee was on the bill. There was a $68 "handling fee" that was refunded. When I questioned the attendant she explained that the handling fee is waived, not the parking fee. I fly a small single engine airplane, there was no handling required. A refund of an amount that provided no real service is not a refund. Further, this company should have honored what we were told on the phone and did not. Buyer beware.

A quick turn to pick up an Angel Flight passenger. Arrived in my Beech Debonair at 9:45 AM, departed blocks at 10:05 met by a lineman, fuel order was quickly taken, the handling fee waived and the terminal amenities were excellent. I'll be back

Signature has impressed me on several occasions. Arriving in a small Cessna, either a rental car or crew car is always immediately ready and we're on our way to lunch in a few minutes. Plane is always refueled by the time we return and the staff has even found and held onto forgotten stuff from the cars -- once a cell phone and once a laptop -- with no worries.

I flew my Bonanza A36 into Signature for a two-day meeting. I was warmly welcomed and treated wonderfully. The handling charge of $29 is waived with a small gas purchase, and the $15 per night overnight charge seems reasonable for an upscale airport like Santa Barbara. The staff was helpful in every way. Generally, I avoid Signature FBOs because I think that they treat the smaller piston airplanes as "second class citizens" at best. Not true with Signature SBA. Give Signature SBA a try, and don't judge them by what you may have experienced at other Signature FBOs. You will be most pleased.

We make regular visits to SBA (in our 172) and always use Signature. Yesterday, we flew in for an overnight visit and were welcomed with the usual outstanding service. Line guy was prompt with the golf cart and our handling charge was waived with a 10 gallons Avgas purchase. They also waived our overnight parking fee. The best thing about our experiences with Signature's great staff - they love seeing our Black Labrador "Sport" walk across their ramp and into the office.

I flew in with my wife for a 1-night stay to visit the campus. My RV-9a was fueled, other fees were waived, and the staff behind the desk went out of their way to offer assistance and information. Beverly and Heather were especially helpful to us. I'm looking forward to going back.

Dropped off a UC SBA Student on the Sunday after New Years. They made room for a lowly Baron amid a ramp full of Jets and had a lineman drive the student to campus instead of taking a Taxi. Even with all of the jet traffic, my plane was filled and they had me on my way in about 10 minutes. All of that plus a $0.50 per gallon discount on the fuel and no ramp fees. Great Service from Denise who was working the desk.

Flew in with my wife on 11-8-09 and had a great experience. Bought 10 gallons of gas to avoid the parking fee (I.E., not a big spender). Had called ahead for a compact rental car and even though the rental car was available, they offered a crew car for free. Nice new Mustang convertible instead of $40 to rent compact. All just to be nice. I never asked, they offered. Have never had this happen anywhere else before.

Lineman came out to park us in a little 172 about 150 feet from the door, lady inside was somewhat courteous, $28 ramp fee waived with 7 gallons of gas in a 172 (gas 50 cents off on Sat/Sun), overall average Signature service. Good stop for Elephant Bar right out the front door of the hangar.

I stopped there for gas on the way up from KMRY. I was there for an hour to buy gas and get lunch and they charged me $28. That is a pretty stiff fee for an hour visit. It also seems silly to have to complain about it. Either they should impose it on everyone or nobody. The staff seemed like they really did not care about the GA pilot. Next time I will fly in the 747 instead of the 172.

Real nice staff, waved off the $28 handling charge as I bought fuel from Signature. BTW I had flown in on a C-172 and was treated real well. Definite place to fly into if you are in and around the beautiful Santa Barbara.

We arrived twice last week at SBA and again were met with nice friendly people. The $28 handling fee was waived with a small fuel purchase. Parking fee was $15 for an overnighter. Nice people and they have no problem with our dog coming through their facility.

Consistent with the other reviews, I was very happy with the service Signature provided. We showed up Friday afternoon in a C-172 and the staff was very courteous. With a top off fuel request (19 gal), they waived the fees and suggested the fueling be done on Saturday when the price went down $0.50/gal. Tie-down was only $15 for the night - for those that complain about fees, note that many hotels charge at least that much for parking. I had booked a rental car directly with an agency, so Signature took us with their van to the car rental agency to pick it up, and upon return, took care of returning the car for us from the FBO, saving us time.

I flew to SBA for the first time on 19APR with my wife and couple of friends in a C-172. I called ahead to Signature based on comments from this site and I was not disappointed! First class service even for the smallest of planes. My friends were very impressed with the level of professionalism and the crew car (a Mustang convertible- first-come, first-serve). I will definitely come back to Signature when I am back in the area!

Moved jet to Signature for hangar space at $45 a night and $1.00 per gallon off Atlantic's fuel price. Never have I chosen Signature over any FBO, but Matt at Signature offered us a great deal. Give Matt a call. My business is going to Signature!
