The ambiance is nice, but the menu prices are ridiculously high for the food you get. A much better bargain is the Mexican food at Pepper Garcia's on the field at KSMX. The Chile Verde burritos are Humongous and outstanding.

Compliments to staff for accommodating our late (7:59 pm) arrival as the restaurant was closing. Very good food all round, making the decision to divert to eat a successful one. Highly recommend these folks. Convenient transient parking facing the restaurant, however, note that the security procedures have changed. Now, you will need to worry about contacting the FBO to get through the gate N10 to the transient parking area. The sign looked temporary so the procedures are likely to change, be aware. And after 9pm, it could become expensive!

I have been flying into SBP for 17 years just for the great food & service. Ask to sit outside on the patio to see the runway. Forget about Harris Ranch as your $100 Hamburger lunch stop. The Spirit of San Luis is the Best Place to fly into and eat in the area.

May 4th brought a gang of Bonanzas and their pilots and friends to SBP. The owners of The Spirit of San Luis reserved the patio for us and contributed to a wonderful day for all of us, as did the tower with the guided tours and handling. Thanks to all!

Great Food, nice view, highly recommended place to fly to. 1 hour free transient parking. See the big rock at Morro Bay and fly over Pismo Beach while you’re in the area.

Great Food, Great Quantities, great Gas Prices ($3.28- 100LL, at the Pump) An all around great stop. I tried the Burger with the Bacon and Blue Cheese dressing, it was very tasty and not to mention some of the best Fries I've tried in a while, the Staff was friendly and its easily accessible from the "Blue Line" parking spot. Highly Recommended

Spirit of San Luis is definitely on my top ten Southern California airport restaurant list. Transient parking is conveniently located next to restaurant entrance. You must try their fish and chips with blue cabbage salad. Burgers are top shape, juicy melted in blue cheese. Yummy. Launch will cost you $15 to $20 in 2008 dollars.

Enjoyed a nice lunch with great views of the runways from the patio. The food is a little pricey, but I guess you're paying for location. You can park your airplane very close to the restaurant (along the blue line, and look for the small "T" marks). There's a sidewalk behind a locked gate that goes straight to the restaurant's patio, but that gate is chained closed. Take a right and exit through the security gate that gives terminal access to get to the front door of the restaurant.

The Spirit is one of the best airport restaurants ever! The view is spectacular. The food is outstanding. It just doesn't get much better than the Central Coast of California. Every time we fly in from Tucson it's like arriving in Paradise.

Food is very good. Sometimes I wish I wasn't based in SLO, because then I could fly into the Spirit for a $100 hamburger.

My experience was nothing short of excellent. We taxied the plane right up to the restaurant, got a seat almost immediately, and had a wonderful lunch. My burger was amazing, although it might be just because I was really hungry ;) All in all, it's a great restaurant. Don't forget the code for the gate as you come in, though!

The food and view are worth the trip! Flew in with a buddy from Bakersfield and had the blue cheese hamburger while watching the planes land and take off. Easy parking, if available, in front of the restaurant.

Great place for lunch. Burgers taste good and the prices are fair. Overlooks runway/taxi-way.
