Great location with fantastic runway views and a dog-friendly outdoor patio. Good news: the ramp maintenance work is done, so there's plenty of restaurant parking. (When you land, tell Ground you want to taxi to 'Restaurant parking.') The food is quite good, and the service is always friendly. Definitely a must-stop.

My first experience at the SPIRIT OF SAN LUIS AT SAN LUIS COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT was excellent. From the menu, I risked ordering the Fish and Chips and potato salad. I was pleasantly surprised. The Potato salad was excellent as was the fish and chips, which was just as good hours later reheated at home for dinner, as it was fresh at lunch. There was plenty also so I took 1/2 home with me. The restaurant was very clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated in an aviation theme. Your bill comes to you sitting on a small 4x7 framed picture of some local aviator (nice touch). KSBP does have scheduled airline carriers so TSA has tight controls on airport ramp access back to your plane. No worries, the staff at SPIRIT OF SAN LUIS will escort you to the fence to let you back in onto the ramp (100' away) with little delay and no hassles. I highly recommend SPIRIT OF SAN LUIS AT SAN LUIS COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT. The service, great food, and clean facilities will keep me coming back.

Excellent location and excellent service! Came in around noon and they had a table for three ready for us without reservation. Very fast service, very nice views, and very nice people throughout! One of my favorite places to fly to for a nice and enjoyable lunch now. Great place and very convenient, I highly recommend them.

I can't think of a better place to watch arrivals and departures while you enjoy a meal. The views are fantastic, especially on the patio where arriving GA planes practically taxi right up to the restaurant. If you want to have a focused conversation, then the inside dining is for you (still with a view but quieter). Food was good (not excellent, but good), thus the 4-star rating. But the views definitely make it worth the trip.

Pilots need to be aware that there is extensive remodeling happening to the ramp and transient parking is VERY limited. But, pretty darn good food and quantity, but a little bit pricey, but not terrible. Fantastic views of the planes coming and going and you really can't beat the views on arrival and especially departure, one of the best.

The ambiance is nice, but the menu prices are ridiculously high for the food you get. A much better bargain is the Mexican food at Pepper Garcia's on the field at KSMX. The Chile Verde burritos are Humongous and outstanding.

Compliments to staff for accommodating our late (7:59 pm) arrival as the restaurant was closing. Very good food all round, making the decision to divert to eat a successful one. Highly recommend these folks. Convenient transient parking facing the restaurant, however, note that the security procedures have changed. Now, you will need to worry about contacting the FBO to get through the gate N10 to the transient parking area. The sign looked temporary so the procedures are likely to change, be aware. And after 9pm, it could become expensive!

I have been flying into SBP for 17 years just for the great food & service. Ask to sit outside on the patio to see the runway. Forget about Harris Ranch as your $100 Hamburger lunch stop. The Spirit of San Luis is the Best Place to fly into and eat in the area.

May 4th brought a gang of Bonanzas and their pilots and friends to SBP. The owners of The Spirit of San Luis reserved the patio for us and contributed to a wonderful day for all of us, as did the tower with the guided tours and handling. Thanks to all!
